Once a month - 23 windows, 7 glass outside doors (yes seven - its bloody ridiculus - who needs that many doors???????) and a conservatory that runs the whole length of the outside of the house. (5/6 beds) - the joys of looking after a very old house for a pal
I thought given the size of the task 20 a month was OK? Someone else quoted 30
Methinks me being robbed - things are expensive up here as petrol etc is so higher than 'sooth'
okay so I dont have that many windows unless he's counting each pane of glass and then I do have loads, have a consevatory of sorts
couldnt you put it down on the lodgers contract that they have to clean the windows , especially if your getting the new guy from work soon.Buy him one of the long handled thingys :rotfl:

Would love too - guy from work doesn't cook, or do anything MANUAL - his classic phrase is 'I don't like to try that' and walks off - its so unbelievable - he wouldn't know how to hold a hooover never mind be trusted with windows!!!!
Windows here get splattered in salty yukness - so the guy works hard I guess - good to support local business - but its just that drip drip drip thing it does to your finances - keeping a spending diary is very very very scary - but I guess it shows where it is all going - so at least I know then.
I added up the household expenses before I worked out a rate for the lodger girls room - its very very scary how much houses cost to run isnt it - no matter what size they are.
And wonderful news - the campervan insurers have just delightfully told me the policy is due for renewal this month - hurrah - another expense!!

Costs are quite reasonable I think. I pay £18 every six weeks, most of my windows are 12' x 6' and I'm too scared to go up a ladder. When I started this DFW lark, I knew I wouldn't be giving up the window cleaner, unless there was some reason I wanted opaque windows!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

so that the neighbours cant see you trying out ideas for your book! :rotfl: especially with your predilection for riding crops, high heels and tights with flowers on them (in the book, make them stockings, then hamster and his friends will buy it!):rotfl:Costs are quite reasonable I think. oh and just thought you might like to know that I have made a chocolate cake tonight and added a smidgin of chilli powder to it. Yummy, it gives the cake a slight spice and takes off the richness of the cocoa powder and also seems to make the mix lighter
ps hows things with the job?:beer:0 -
