Had a letter from Tesco Finance about the ppi mis-selling on my loan claim, basically telling me they need more time! Another four weeks to be exact. Still investigating it apparently, not that complicated, I'd have thought. Not sure what to do, can't make them do it quicker. Should I write back and say thanks for your kind letter, hope my demands are not making your life too onerous....but I'd be grateful if you could get a move on.
I've trawled the ppi discussion forum (it's huge, and can't find any record of success in reclaiming against them. Lots about delay tactics though)
I've added a new box, look! here it is!! In short, it's the money I've saved off the monthly budgets to date, by changing supplier, stopping payments, the mortgage rate drop and the difference in minimum payments as the overall totals come down . In theory, I have this excess to throw at the debt and the car fund....

...in theory it is a great idea to throw it all at the debt, but I think I ought to put some aside for the elderly car. At it's last MOT I was warned it would need quite a bit of work on it next time. I certainly can't afford a new car, so if I managed to put about £500 aside that would help. If I was lucky, I wouldn't need it all and could then throw it at the debt.
Does this seem a sensible approach?Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Two million pounds is a lot of money, we wouldn't charge quite that much for his modelling fee...Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Fantastic news about the £240 Piq! :T :T :T I agree with putting some of it aside for possbile car repairs. Otherwise, by being too eagar to pay it off, you may end up adding to it! Just my suggestion my lovely:A
