Wow! thanks!! the hobnobs are great!

The worst bit of the whole escapade was riding back to my yard with a dislocated shoulder, now that is painful!

I'm not supposed to ride for a while either

I can't imagine letting a small child out on a road even with adult company. It's an accident waiting to happen and did! Luckily the kids are okay.

However, it's going to cost me. I'll have to pay for physio, this is making me feel really fed up. I just want to clear my credit cards! Next time the Captain and I will turn the other way.....

You would have grounds to sue her or the stables for that negligence surely?

So how about a letter to both of them politely requesting money towards your physio?

Shula Archer/Hebden/Lloyd (:o) was running scared from a legal action on The Archers for a child that fell off one of her horses.

    Don't tell me it's only a soap - it's a documentary :o

    Now there's a thought :T

I'd have to contact the stable owner to find out the woman's name, but that's easy. Plenty of people saw us come in, two crying children and two excitable ponies. I think I may well ask for a lift there tomorrow!

Thanks Olive, you are an angel :A

Of course it's a documentary, what else could it be?

Need to pull myself together, very fed-up, can't think my way round all the extra expenditure. I have the quote for the brickwork and rendering and it's horrific. The builder says it is dangerous and that is what I must get through to the insurance company. However, it's so expensive that they will send out someone to assess the damage I'm sure.

I've spoken to my physio and he says we can work out some sort of pricing deal :T Oh and the seal in my patio door has blown.....£145 for a new unit.....

    Hi Piq
Sorry you're feeling fed-up. Are you still not able to ride after your rescue with Captain? That mother should not have been blessed with children - to be more concerned with some missing kit than children in danger because of her laissez-faire attitude is unbelievable.
The extra expenses you've got coming up are a nightmare, but don't lose sight of how much you are achieving. I know when you're paying attention to money rather than sticking it on the card and hoping for the best (as most of us have done at some point!) it grates even more, but you are in a much better position to deal with it now. Hopefully your insuarance company will cough up for your house. I'm off to cheer myself up with a Caramel egg and I must be an evil mother because I think it might be one of the kids'. Now I've written that I feel guilty. Better find some non-child chocolate....
    Take care Piq
