  • Video games are included too, with a maximum cost of £3 p&p. This will cover the additional cost of Recorded Delivery but not Special Delivery if the item sells for over the Recorded Delivery protected amount.

As with just about every rule change on Ebay it throws up more questions than answers.

For people wanting to sell up their DVD colelction or for those with heavy books it might be worth considering listing tonight for 10 days. That gives you a Sunday finish.

If you wait until the 26th to list you get a Friday finish which is not usually a good time to end a listing.

I'm not going to worry. Ebay only figure into my plans for maybe the next 18 months at most, then it's bye-bye ya *******.

A pink has confirmed this on an ebay community board thread:

    Hi

I've posted this around the same time on another thread, just in case I'll stick it in here too:

Listings made before the 27th will be allowed run their course and expire naturally.

GTC Listings made before the 27th will be allowed run their course and if relisted with shipping cost above the cap will be removed by eBay.

    Cheers
    James

"All sellers listing on eBay.co.uk will have to specify at least one domestic postage service and P&P cost (some categories are excluded)."

What about items too heavy to post? These are usually listed as pick up only, does this mean that you can't list such items in future?

I've got this showing in my ebay:

Seems like a bit of an odd promotion when the free P&P isn't optional, is it?

I just tried to list my old set of first year university textbooks. All cost me £90 + and I was just going to start them at 99p and see what they went for. Until eBay's little you can't list this because your postage is over £2.75...well yes....because it''s a textbook that weighs over 2kg. It just annoys me because I don't want to sell them on amazon, I don't want a set price. I'd be happy for some luckly person to get a £90 text booke for £2 or whatever but not if that makes me a loss on my postage. ARGH!

Add the postage to your start price and list this week while there ar efree listings.

From october you can't add any postage at all to books unless you opt to send them by courier.

Hi all, my apologies for posting in here but i don't want to start a new thread for such a small question.

In this description it says £1.99 postage, but it says it's free, so which is it?! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Shrek-2-USED-PS2_W0QQitemZ160357628801QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_PC_Video_Games_Video_Games_JS?hash=item25560f3b81&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

    Confused
