i am starting to see this as a learning curve....i still somehow cant seem to conjure up enough emotion about it either and i have now had a few more on the phone panicking angry etc etc

You shouldn't have to be conjuring up anything. You obviously see right through it and the illusion has slipped badly.

Gosh are these teachers actually trained!!!....can't believe that they failed everybody and then some have passed...I'm stuck for words(hard to belive I know).
How do the other people that you talk to on the course feel about the course?..is it up to their expectations?

it's kinda a mixed bag to be honest we have alot of young adults on the course 18 or so and most of them dont really know any different ...of the older ones most feel the way i do but some see this as their last chance so dont want to mess it up .....i think that could be why they think i am maybe not bothering enough about it like they are ...it seems to be a big thing for them ...as if in a way failing means they are a failure ...i dont know for sure though ...a couple of people have told me this though so i have no reason to think they would be lying
  • Hi El, this is definately a training matter and the Uni should be operating a system where you can ask for external moderation on your essays. I would also be looking at redoing the module where you didn't pass..it maybe a tiny bit of tweaking could make the difference.

it is just tweaking as far as i know bob ...i may be wrong (still have to see the actual paper) but i think it is grammar ...i am so bad at that stuff ....referancing ..ditto ....spacing...!!!!!!....shortening of words ....had to do this some government papers were 9 words long jeez....and i was a bit chatty...from what i can tell i seem to have the right content they are relatively happy with that ...i dont think they liked me pointing out that the class as a whole has asked several times what the difference is and still not recieved a good answer ...and i dont think they liked me pointing out that i think for them to assume that i know the answer after 3.5 months when they dont know the answer after years is a bit presumptious(i wrote i didnt know the answer but would give it some thought over my 4 year course lol) ...i think they found that bit a bit difficult to swallow lol ......

anyhooo enough of uni ...i am sure it will rear its ugly head again but for now...money saving ....went to the pics last night to see benjamin buttons ...how is that money saving i hear you ask (i dont really just thought maybe some people might be curious) we used the nectar points yay..also went to asda for sweets and drinks before we went in so saved some money there as well ...i now know my handbag can carry a 1litre tub of ben and jerrys cookie dough ice-cream...yum yum ....

i am quite confused though ...hubby goes on about saving money he really wants savings etc and does things like nectar points for the cinema ...but thinks nothing of spending £400 on his latest want (he bought a machine that does something ...can you tell how much i know about this stuff) ...he says he wants to pay the mortgage off early infact he goes on and on about it he wants us to spend more time travelling together and doing what we want and less time working ...but when i bring up ok you want this how does this sound ...maybe pay £200 a month extra off of the mortgage...... maybe sell the rubbish we have on ebay ha ha ha ha ha ha ha (i realised that was asking too much) he looks at me and says well we have to live as well ...i know we have to live but you cant have it all ways ......i have asked a friend to sell our ebay stuff and told him i would give him 50% of the profit ..hubby thinks that is too much ...so i said well you could always sell it yourself ...he replied "you aint getting me that way"

and guess what has reared it's ugly head again .....

i sent an email to the marker of my assignment saying

Just got my results in and i see i have failed. I would like to arrange with you a meeting if possible so that i can discuss my paper further so that i can ensure this doesnt happen again ....

and today i got the reply

What I suggest in the meantime is that you pick up your work, go through it and see what the marker has said. Digest that, get beyond the hurt/ frustration/ anger / worry that goes with this, reflect and become calm again, so that when we meet, you will be best placed to move forward.

ok can someone tell me (apart from now) when i have appeared angry...frustrated etc ...infact i think i remember feeling liberated...and unemotional about it all ...have had to keep my fingers away from the keyboard so that i dont write a agitated reply

someone else suggested that ...but it was sent to me personally ...not like a few of us ...and as far as i know no-one else has sent an email asking for a meeting ...it could be a standard reply though ...i have no proof to say it isnt ...but jeez what kinda standard reply is that ?...i mean who the hell has the right to presume another persons emotions and responses to situations

it's not a good standard reply but I think maybe other folk had got in touch with them and they did a bit of cutting and pasting...
