You've got a good memory hun!
Yes, I've ordered a few times from Jimmy's now and always been exceptionally pleased at the quality of his products, especially his sausages, black pudding and any of the pork products. The pork is out of this world for flavour as he rears an OS breed of pig that is almost wiped out in this country, but is what we traditionally ate many many years ago before intensive farming methods were introduced.
I so wish I had the freezer space to take advantage of the current offer but don't have room in my fridge/freezer right now and need to sort out supplying an electric point to one of the outbuildings before I can buy a second chest freezer"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Any sausages in particular - I don't know which ones to choose! Also is the loin of pork on the bone and chined/scored - fancy this for Xmas lunch and trying to decide between Real Meat, Jimmys and Caleyco...

I live up the road from Jimmy's farm and his meat is great but a bit expensive for regulars purchases.Personal Loan: £11,488 3.7% Credit card: £5,946 0% Total = £17,4340

my family went to visit the farm they said the meat was lovely but a little pricey but i suppose you pay for quality! they said it was a great little day."You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need"

I live very close, infact pass the farm on the A14 everyday: The meat is wonderful but as everyone says rather pricey but certainly worth it for special occasionsWe don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0

thanks for the link... will take a look.....
but i must admit....i get fab meat from my local butchers who rears some of his own animals for the shop...
even though i would love to buy my meat from places like jimmy's and river cottage etc.....i just could not afford it all the time.....
do you think their prices have been inflated becasue of the tv programmes jimmy's farm ?Work to live= not live to work0 -
But the £40 hamper is just bacon & sausages  OK, with an apron and a T-Shirt thrown in. But not a lot of meat for £40, especially as they give no idea of the weight of the bacon & sos
Is it organic? Just curious, as the website doesn't say it is - and the price suggests it isn't.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
This thread prompted me to check the website and now I've made an order!
The 'Winter Warmer' hamper costs £35 and contains:
500g Steak and Kidney
500g Diced Pork
500g Minced Beef
500g Braising Steak
500g Neck of Lamb
500g Diced Beef
A Bacon Hock
PLUS A Butchers Choice Joint (for 4)
I tried one of Jimmy's burgers at the Good Food show in London last week and it was superb. Hopefully the rest of the meat will be as good.Mortgage Free as of 03/07/2017 :beer:0
