Has anyone bought meat from Jimmy's Farm

Options
Hi

I just wondered if anyone had every bought meat from Jimmy's Farm. Have been looking at the online shop and they have a nice meat hamper. £40 including postage.

I have never bought meat like this before and just wondered if anyone had ever tried it from here before?

Many thanks

I have tried the sausages and they were lovely, though I haven't tried their meat as such.

I would be tempted to on the basis of their sausages!:D

I'm sure I remember Curry Queen saying she orders from there, you might want to PM her (though she might be offline as she's been moving house).

  • I got the very same email today!

I've bought sausages from the shop and they were lovely. Quite pricey though. My dad (who lives nearby) cooked some pork spare ribs from there - really tender and flavourful.

It does seem a lot of meat for £40. 500g does us two nights so we'd get 20 meals for the price. Hubby doesn't like beef though

(just to clarify: hamper is £30 but £10 for delivery, so £40. I don't know if you can get the hamper in the shop for £30?)

    website is https://www.essexpigcompany.com

Thanks Alfietinker for posting the link. I am really tempted. I have also asked on the discount page if anyone has a code.

The order forms asks for one, maybe someone who already has visited may have one. I have subscribed to the newsletter since day 1 and never had any codes.
  • Hi

I have just found this site on a quick search, they have an offer on an organic meat starter pack atm with free delivery, I think it looks good value, but tbh I really don't know how much meat should cost, especially organic! Would someone be kind enough to tell me, if this is a good deal, before I take the plunge?

    Heres the link http://www.cleveleyparkorganics.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?cPath=58&products_id=185

    Thanks

I ordered some meat from https://www.meats.co.uk because out of the online butcher type places this seemed the most reasonable... I spent £40.38 including the £4.95 for delivery (ordered Sunday, delivered today!). This is what I got:

    4x 4oz Lamb Valentine Steaks - 6.56

    1x 1lb Lamb Leg Diced - 4.07

    1x 3lb Silverside Barrel - 8.58

    1x 2lb Best Beef Mince- 3.54

    2x 8oz Rump Steak - 5.60

    2x 22oz Pork Baby Back Ribs - 4.84 (we actually received 3!! :D )

    2x 8oz Pork Loin Steaks - 2.24

What do you think? We're going to see what it's like and maybe order again...

We haven’t had a meat pack from them because I prefer to choose my own selection but I can vouch for the meat and the customer service is great.

I have spent a lot of time comparing organic meat prices and Cleveley Park has so far always come up best. Their ‘traditionally reared’ is very good too.
