    Still loving the car! Cannot believe the value for money, paid £3500 for a car that cost £36,000+ 6 years before!

    The only thing "Ford" about the Mazda 6 was the money to pay for it's development. The Mazda 6 and Ford Mondeo share no major parts at all. The Mazda 3 and Ford Focus however are based onthe same platform.
    Definately stick with a petrol Mazda 6 for £4K those early diesels aren't worth it as fuel economy isn't that great, servicing is more expensive and they do have reliability issues.
