also up to 29th for the comps ending, might do some of the 31st ending ones today:eek:
i love the build up to xmas, its when it actually gets to xmas day that i dont enjoy it as much as i used to, kids really start big time and it gets so stressful, they were really bad yesterday:mad:
we also dont go anywhere on xmas day, havent for years, ever since the first xmas that ds was diagnosed with diabetes, he had gotten worked up xmas morning, excited with pressies, then we had gone over to mums, then over to mil's in afternoon, on the way home in the evening he lost his sight for 5-10 mins due to hypo attack, that was so scary and ever since then we always try and keep it calm somewhat!
i would really love to go away over xmas and just not bother:rotfl:0 -
OMG PP I would have been so scared I tell you....I go into a tizzy when they are sick:rolleyes:..I have always been really big on Christmas you know, being really magical about the whole event and used to get up at 2 warm house put christmas music on quiet and then go bursting in bedrooms and make everyone get shouting santas been.....2 eldest girls were about 4 and 5 and we hadnt got little one and one year i did this and they got up and could hardly open anything they were so tired...One started throwing up then an hour later the other and dinner was cancelled due to how poorly they were...I always swore i would never wake them again so early..I felt it was my fault and it was like a shock to their system.... Hubby said it was a bug but I just got a guilt trip going...STILL get up at 3 myself as i am so excited.....The last 2 weeks been gettin up and 3 and 4 and i'm buzzin..:rotfl:
We never go anywhere either on Christmas day but have to be honest I never would...Everyone comes to me and as usual got 12 to dinner but love all the chaos and noise...I think I believe in santa but dont tell anyone:laugh:Best Competition Wins-Brand New Vauxhall Corsa & £30000 -

just doesnt feel magical round here, in asda yesterday and they had no festive music playing, no music on actually!

need to start thinking of ways to get everyone in the festive spirit i think:rotfl:
talking of xmas, does anyone ever give their posties a tip?just wondered what everyone else does0 -
who is this irksome 'good gambling' person... haven't they got something better to do???
like carol singing outside asda!Teachers open the door, but you must enter by yourself.0 -
PP our postie is absolutly lovely...She has been coming to us around about 5 yrs at a guess...Nothing ever goes astray and I take parcels in for anyone in the street to save her takin them back....she just pops the card through their door to say items at mine...She works so hard bless her and has 2 young children and my girls love her to bits. They had penpals and I had 32 from all over the world and nothing ever was not delivered but if she goes on hols i have different letters not turn up...Each year we get her 2 presents and wrap them and girls go to door and wish her happy christmas and she gets so full up with tears in her eye...They gave her pressies yesterday...Last year she bought them a pressie back and LO took it to put under tree....After talking to her for 5 mins I came in to find Sophie had opened the pressie sitting eating the chocolates postie had bought her...There was choccy everywhere...It was so funny....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Best Competition Wins-Brand New Vauxhall Corsa & £30000
