If you're in Leeds I will assume you are using First buses. A FirstDay Adult ticket is £4 (effectively the price of 2 singles) and has the added benefit that you can use buses for the rest of the day throughout West Yorkshire - but if the first bus you get is after 0930 you can get an "OffDay" ticket for unlimited travel until 2359 for £3 (valid only within Leeds), saving you a pound a day. If you don't travel alone but with someone else it would be worth getting a "First Family" ticket which gives unlimited travel until 2359 within West Yorkshire for £5 for the both of you - saving you £1.50 per day each.

It is strange how the only "Peak" daily ticket offered by First in Leeds is the £4 West Yorkshire one, but that in Bradford you have the choice of the £4 West Yorkshire ticket or a cheaper £2.80 Bradford only ticket. The fact that the two subsidiaries differ despite their geographical separation is strange and I'd be tempted to query this with Customer Services in case there is a "Leeds-only" day ticket you could get that is cheaper. First Leeds Customer Services are available on 0113 381 5000 or by writing to FIRST WEST YORKSHIRE LTD., Customer Services, Bowling Back Lane, BRADFORD, BD4 8SP.

If the bus you use is operated by Arriva their Adult Day Ticket also costs £4. To double check if they offer any other discounts or cheaper fares you could contact their Customer Services Department on 0844 800 11 11. Alternatively, their contact address is ARRIVA - SERVING YORKSHIRE, Customer Services, FREEPOST NEA 4591, WAKEFIELD, WF1 4BR.

I'm afraid that there's no Oyster in Leeds so you're stuck with the commercial fares offered by the operator in question.
