  • Have got a fair bit of cash stashed away from my classes in the past 2 weeks - I know I should put it towards my debts but part of me can't bear to.

It sounds ridiculous doesn't it? It's almost like I havent had any money in my hands for so long Im just not ready to let go yet. Why am I being so silly!

Does anyone else get like this?

  • Well we come to the end of the month and on the £10 a day challenge I made a total of £1832.15!!!!!

Am going to try keep this momentum up as much as I can. Got given anoter class today which pays £25 per time so that's between £100 -£125 a month extra which is definitely needed.

Spending diary went a bit wayward so for FEb my goal is to keep it as accurate as possible to get a better reflection of what I spent!

Hope you guys are doing well.

  • Wow thats amazing!! Well done

So are you on track to pay the £1000 per month to clear your debt by June? You said in an earlier post you need to pay £310 off before payday has that happened?
  • I'm not sure I will make the £1000 a month. Unfortunately my car got broken into on Thursday night and its not looking like the insurance are going to cover everything that has been stolen. all my fitness cds worth around £400 have gone and my sat nav worth £200. My insurance say they will only pay me £100.

I'm totally gutted this happened. It was right outside my bedroom window and I never heard anything.

  • Well the insurance have confirmed that yes they will only pay £100 which is ridiculous but there you go!

I'm off target for what I should be paying off so this month I'm going to have to work extra hard. My non-loan debt total should be £4,200 and its £4,700. With all the interest no matter how much I pay it doesn't seem to be making much difference!

My classes got cancelled tonight because of snow so lost about £60 worth of income. I really hope it melts for tomorrow otherwise I'm set to lose around £250 (this is what I have been earning for the last month on Tuesday nights). Please please let it melt!

  • Well thought I might as well make good use of a day off sick where I actually feel up to being on the computer (considering the past 3 days were a waste) and I've made steps to get info from credit cards for my charges back.

Capital One have ordered the statements no questions asked, as have Halifax. Barclaycard however wanted to charge me £3 per statement to which I responded you can't do that - the Freedom Of Information Act has a cap of £10 per request - so they have now given me some silly address to write to and said it will cost the full £10. So bit of an inconvenience but worth doing for every little penny I can get back.

Logged on to my internet banking and transferred cash over (as I've been too ill to get to bank or online earlier) to pay my mobile bill. Little did I know that they had already rejected it and even though its the same day they wont take the charge off or pay the direct debit.

Needless to say I've had enough of Halifax and their charge happy attitude. So I've applied for an account with Natwest - I figured time for a fresh start and the little sods have had too much cash off me so I'm gonna claim it back.

Anybody know what the hell is going on with these bank charges claims? I've heard nothing for months and that could potentially be £900 (if I get the interest to go towards my debt).

Hopefully business should be a bit better this week now the weather has subsided - I desperately need the cash!
