  • Hey everybody (if anybody reads this lol!)

Finally back at work after being ill - still feeling a bit rough but I had to get back to teaching as I desperately need the money! Wobbled a bit at the weekend. Got bored when I was ill so bought sweets and magazines from the corner shop to keep me occupied.

Then me and OH went to shopping malls at weekend (got his Christmas present sorted thank god!) but this resulted in a total of £18 spent on eating out for that week - oh dear!

Also ended up buying some new trainers for my teaching which I felt incredibly guilty about even though I desperately needed them. They were a bargain - some Nike dance shoes at £20 with my staff discount off so I guess it could have been much worse!

Work is a bit crappy so far today but just trying to keep out of the way of the nasty people and concentrating on earning as much as I can for my debt busting plan!

Am soooo ready for this Friday at 4pm - my Christmas holiday officially starts!

  • Hey! Thanks for that - I get so guilt ridden about the silly mess I get myself into that I feel guilty buying just about anything at the moment!

I am really looking forward to my Christmas break and at least 2 NSDs! (xmas day and new years lol!)

  • Well today is my last day in work - hurrah!

On the slight downside earlier this week my colleagues bought me a Christmas present which meant I had to run out and get them something too which resulted in £16 spent aaarrrgh!

Just got some more freelance earnings today and I haven't managed to tot it up yet but I *think* I have hit my target or at least got myself very very close to it and there is still one more class left to teach before Dec 31st - I really hope I can make it as I will really feel like I achieved something and feel like I can do anything!

Missed taking in a few lunches this week but its been really really hectic and I'm still not feeling 100% from being ill last week so the fitness classes have really been taking their toll on me.

Going to be doing the budget this weekend now I know what I get paid - 1st debt busting wage since my lightbulb moment.

Oh well that's enough waffle for now! Got my xmas night out on Sunday with the family - can I get through it cheaply?????

Glad to see your first debt busting wage has arrived! I'm very much looking forward to getting mine on Dec 23rd, so I can start off on my New Year budget, with holidays, gifts and other fun things actually budgeted for for once!

Enjoy the Christmas night out - I'm going back home on Monday and know how much fun/how trying family events can be :D
  • Same here - I am going to try save some money next year so that I can treat myself come Christmas time to a new party outfit instead of recycling last years (which is what I'm doing this year.

  • Are you doing the Valued Opinions surveys?
I have had £40 of M&S vouchers from them this year - that would go nicely towards an outfit for next Christmas - especially if it's ordered online via Quidco for cashback!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.
  • Last time before I fell off the wagon I was doing some surveys for a site (not that one though) and I only used to get 10ps here and there and I got fed up of doing them - I've never seen any that pay that well!

I went back on Quidco other day but I can't find the free daily clicks I used to do - what's happened to them? Also I had £13 of cashback and they've just cleared the account :(

I find that the Valued Opinions, Toluna, Lightspeed Panel and Yougov survey points add up nicely! (see my sig)
Yes you do sometimes get kicked out of surveys part way in but hey ho!

I'd contact Quidco to see what's happened to your £13
Check on the daily competitions thread or freebies-no spend req (I think) for all the free clicks

As bank_of_slate says, contact their customer service. They're *very* friendly and I've even had queries answered at the weekend before :D
