Part of my problem is that I find it hard to get to the pool and when I am there what am I supposed to do with my crutches and how do I get in and out of the pool , it wasn't too bad where we lived before I joined a private health club (along with Dr Dragon), and they always had a life guard on who took my crutches off me and put them at the side when I reached the steps (and they were proper steps not a ladder!)

I have exactly the same prob re crutches, I dump mine at the side, but unless they have proper steps I've had it. Our local baths has 4 pools, 1 big one, (just the mini ladder steps), a teaching pool, (2ft 6in) thats excluded as too much blubber on show, and 2 others in that section, the one has the proper steps, but 90% of the time its booked out to schools, swimming lessons etc, the only time I really get to enjoy swimming is when I go down to Devon, as the site we stay on has 2 seperate steps (either end of pool). I know our local pool as got the hoist, but when I enquired I got told, your overweight, (yes ok!!), its health and safety, dont know what staff are qualified to use it, and this is the best one - you cant be that disabled your walking on crutches............. x

Can't get to sleep at proper time since coming back from my holiday.Haven't been managing to get to sleep until 4am and then end up sleeping until at least 11ammaybe longer.
Going to have to go back myself tomorrow as need to make the mortgage money this weekend....otherwise I'll end up in my O/D ....at least theres no charge on my O/D.
  • Hope you manage it then Taxi as your routine does sound worryingly like mine at times..We need to get ourselves sorted with all of this.
    Have a good weekend. x
