Hi all...haven't been about on here the last few days as quite franklyI'm getting to the end of my tether with the stress I put myself under to pay all the debts. We've come to the conclusion that we are going to have a life and do the house up etc.
We are lucky in that we can comfortably afford to make the normal debt repayments and some extra.
I'm sick of living in a tip and am in the process of trying to completely renovate the house.
The loans can take care of themselves. The CCs are on 6.9 % LOB deals and so give me some breathing space.
I also think another important thing is to have some money to fall back on incase the cab is off the road at anytime and I won't have that if I pay it all to CCs..so will pay what I'm comfortable paying off them.
We never go out and I never have new clothes either. So I am taking a bit of a back seat on here.I will of course keep up with everybody else and do loads of things in the MSE way.
Hope I'm not disappointing any of you.0 -

That makes perfect sense Taxi - after all you can save (at the same time as paying off) and every so often throw a little extra into the pot! You need to have a life over and beyond debt bustingDo not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Hi Dragon..that's exactly as I see it.I think it's extremely important for us to have savings as our incime is all from self employed earnings so if anything goes wrong with the car or any of us is ill then we need something to fall back on.0

Of course you are not disappointing anyone Taxi, it is really hard going and as Dragon says its a good idea having some back up money. We got into debt in the first place when a fare attacked OH and he had the best part of a year off with his injuries and we had nothing to fall back on.
I'm with you on the house as well, ours is really getting me down at the minute, I keep looking at wallpaper and couches on ebay longingly!
Enjoy doing up the house and make sure you keep us up to date x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Thanks all...I will be here and posting on my diary.I will feel guilty(need to get over that) when spending money but some things you have to pay a good price for for quality.
We are having new TVs next week and I'm thinking of having sky put in.My reasoning behind this is when we are both working we work a lot of hours and we don't go out.I felt so sorry for my DH when the boxing match was on he stood outside a hotel to watch it in the middle of the night and I only found that out a couple of days ago....we are not that poor that he should stand outside and put himself in danger. My TVs are on the last legs and my aerial has come down on the roof.I can get £130 cashback,£25 tesco card through quidco...so I'll be spending money.
I don't have my gym membership anymore so that will cover the cost of sky...
I'm just fed up at the moment with everything.
I've sorted out 5 files today and have loads more stuff to sort...just want a nice clean tidy house.0
