Hi all....sorry I haven't been about much as have been busy with work stuff and the house.
It is busy in Blackpool but with the weather being nice I'm not taking much more than I would've done on a normal weekend...but it's still money to pay the bills.
The house stuff is that my sons friend has just returned to Blackpool and is a roofer and builder with 40 years experience....so not a cowboy.They have put leaflets out for work last week and while they are waiting for work they are doing my house up and then when they get some work in they will do my house in the evenings....
Yesterday he fixed my gulley trough which needed something doing...a mix of sand and cement putting under it to stop the rain coming in through my bedroom ceiling...today he's replaced the guttering on the back of the house...well half of it as he's waiting for the ladders to come back that he borrowed and he'sgoing to coat the gulley trough with some waterproof stuff...He's also started doing my garden walls with canterbury spa...so it's looking good...would cost me a fortune if paying full whack...
They are going to be doing all the plastering in the house,woodwork,decorating etc...so I'll have a lovely house and garden....bless em.

Forgot to say I'm not applying for anymore cards.I'm just going to use the LOB offer from Barclays.

Sounds great on the house front, and i reckon you will save more money on the LOB transfer than some of the measly offers at the moment.

We'll be able to keep the builder going for 10 years at this rate between us all....lol
The dogs are fine and I won't even go there with weight busting...lol...but will get back into it in the next couple of weeks.

Lemon tree...I'm afraid that the weight loss is off my signature because as usual I've not been sticking to it and have put weight on...my plan of action is to go back next week...
KC ...hope you've got plenty of patience waiting for my builder as he has to replaster my whole house and decorate it...retile my bathroom and kitchen and do some woodwork...lol...but I'll send him when I've finished....oh...he's also going to be doing my loft ...so will keep him out of trouble for a while...lol

i'm surprised at how nice the weather is today. i've been in the garden, well mostly the greenhouse potting little plants on having fun. OH has taken the car as his scooter has another bloomin fuel leak, getting really narked with it to be honest.

I like pottering in a garden too..I just have a yard at the moment but am looking at making it nicer with raised beds etc.Sorry to hear about the bike..it must be a real pain!!!!

we've only had the bike back a week so he's going to have a 'word' i spect i will end up stepping in as i'm good at the legalese and can be very articulate in such situations.
we don't have a huge garden and have also just built raised beds, at the moment everything is pretty much in the greenhouse growing up a bit. found a lovely spud bag from QD so may just have to send OH to get some more.
