I know exactly how you feel - until I managed to get the 0% card last month, I have been rejected over and over despite being on top of everything, a decent wage earner, etc etc.....which left me with incredibly high APRs.
Don't apply for another one now - or else you will start being rejected because you have had too many credit searches!

I think it is three credit searches and it begins to affect you. You are right about the BOI being in the same boat as everyone else Taxi, and in all honesty as a certain person i know works within the PO, they have more rejections than accepted applications.
Probably best to do the old credit card shuffle trick that Martin goes on about.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

CC's are a mare and I decided that 0% just not worth it...all of mine are now on lob between 5 & 8% (mbna offered 8.6 for lob) which is better than the 17%+ I had with egg and barclays...only problem is the fee was about 150!!
Hope you have a really busy taxi w/e!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -

Hi all....sorry I haven't been about much as have been busy with work stuff and the house.
It is busy in Blackpool but with the weather being nice I'm not taking much more than I would've done on a normal weekend...but it's still money to pay the bills.
The house stuff is that my sons friend has just returned to Blackpool and is a roofer and builder with 40 years experience....so not a cowboy. They have put leaflets out for work last week and while they are waiting for work they are doing my house up and then when they get some work in they will do my house in the evenings....
Yesterday he fixed my gulley trough which needed something doing...a mix of sand and cement putting under it to stop the rain coming in through my bedroom ceiling...today he's replaced the guttering on the back of the house...well half of it as he's waiting for the ladders to come back that he borrowed and he'sgoing to coat the gulley trough with some waterproof stuff...He's also started doing my garden walls with canterbury spa...so it's looking good...would cost me a fortune if paying full whack...
They are going to be doing all the plastering in the house, woodwork, decorating etc...so I'll have a lovely house and garden....bless em.
Hope everyone's having a good day.
Forgot to say I'm not applying for anymore cards.I'm just going to use the LOB offer from Barclays.0 -
Hi taxi - that's great getting your house fixed up on 'mates rates' - send them down here if they get a quiet moment, we have lots of jobs that need doing.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620
