My student has just done the bathroom - it was obviously so bad that she couldn't wait for me to do it any longer............:o
My argument is that it is not MY bathroom, so I never venture in there, so never see what state it is in, so therefore never clean it.........3 teenagers are perfectly capable of cleaning a bathroom are they not
OK, maybe not :rotfl:

Good luck with the ironing pile Hypno (we don't do ironing! in fact we don't even own and iron!!), and congratulations on getting the bathroom cleaned for you LOLDo not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

the tree is up, after a near disaster, and the lounge is more or less done, as is the hall.....the ironing is very much "work in progress" but is getting there, and there is a passageway through to the dining table now, that there wasn't this morning
A storage unit that I used in my cabin for work stuff has been cleared and taken up to DDs room so she can store stuff in - it is one of those that has 12 wicker baskets in a pine frame, so it is quite nice and fits perfectly in her room.
And a bottle of mulled wine has been consumed :rudolf:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Um do we hear what the near disaster is/was? Well done on the rest BTW!

Does this mean your cabin is also being de-cluttered?:eek::eek:

The disaster - well not really a disaster I suppose, in that no life was at risk, but when we were full of clutter, we had kicking around for ages the adaptor to plug in the Christmas tree lights, which obviously never made it to the box that had the lights in that had previously gone back in the loft.
So, I put the tree up, got the lights out, and then couldn't plug them in -have looked everywhere for the adaptor, got stressed, got crossed, then took the bloody tree down because I was in danger of throwing said lights and tree out of the window.
So, my second tree - which goes in my dining room, had to come into the lounge instead......it is not as big, but looks ok elevated on a table, and the presents are being wrapped as I speak by my student, and placed underneath the tree so it looks ok.
Not really a disaster therefore, but quite stress inducing at the time........hence the need for a glass or two of mulled wine :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. tree got banished? Poor tree! After all, it was the catalyst for the mulled wine, you should be thanking it! Well, maybe not
Yep, banish away!
Things are starting to sound very Christmassy, Hypno, nice one.KC - what is Bingoport? Have seen it mention a couple of times but not ventured over yet.
Its a free bingo site - plus a sort of Grand Central Station for bingo sites - all the bingo offers are on there for people who play for the love of the game, as opposed to quidco money or ipoints etc :rotfl: There's also a big forum, you get 100 points a post, and if you get to 8000 points, you can redeem for an amazon evoucher, which really does arrive. If you want to join, pm your email addy to me or pandapaws, and we can refer you and get more points!

- [strike]Do online banking[/strike] Done
- [strike]check for surveys, clicks, do scratchcards[/strike] Done
- [strike]check for mystery shops. Send off a receipt from the last one.[/strike] Done
- [strike]do 4 dooyoo reviews[/strike] done loads (well, about 7 or 8) so far
- [strike]do a blog for the downloads[/strike] Done
- [strike]run the kids around[/strike] Done!
- [strike]go to the butchers to collect sausages he makes specially for us[/strike] Have 20lbs of gluten free sausages in the freezer now
- [strike]take all the presents out of the cupboard to see what I still need to get[/strike] done, and thankfully not much else to buy
- [strike]tidy the lounge[/strike] Done
- [strike]tidy the hall[/strike] Done
- tidy the kitchen
- [strike]tackle the ironing mountain....hmmm....[/strike] Definately an improvement although some way to go!
- [strike]get the Christmas Tree up[/strike] Done
- make a special dinner on Sunday for the student as she goes home for Christmas next week
- [strike]write essential Christmas cards (great aunts etc that don't have email)[/strike] Done, stamped and posted
So, almost done - my hall is fab - mirrors all cleaned and everything. The lounge is basically done, polished and stuff too - and the Christmas tree is up and looks fine - presents that I have got so far have been wrapped and are under the tree.
I have had enough of the ironing - I have done loads, and that is enough - there is only so much that one person can reasonably iron in a day! I can get into the dining room, and at a squeeze we can get to the table, although the dining room is not the calm sophisticated eating area that I was aiming for today, but I think I have more or less had enough for the weekend!
I will tidy the kitchen as I cook dinner, shortly, and might tackle the impossible so that we can eat at the table, if I have the energy!
I am watching Robbie Williams on the Knebworth DVD - I was at that gig and it was one of my best days ever, so I am just getting "lost" in it for a couple of hours
MSE wise - well, I only spent enough to buy potatoes and veg for dinner, and have done some dooyoo stuff and my scratchcards - that will have to do I reckon, although I might get another review done later. I haven't yet done my admin I was hoping to do, but again might get it done this evening - OH is at work so no interruptions there, peace and quiet and a nice tidy room to sit in!
It's a good start, anyway!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
