I want chocolate too! Sort of!! Actually, I don't think I do really.......perhaps it is out of my system now after the initial withdrawal symptoms!

Nargle - well done! We briefly looked into IVAs a couple of years ago, but I decided I would probably be able to clear the debts within the 5 years if I just attacked it.....so attack it I did! Also, if I do an IVA, I lose my job, so that is not a good way of finding the monthly payments! I hope it all works out - you certainly sound very positive :T

Can't be anything but positive - when you are heavily in debt the only way you can go is up and onwards. At least we have some structure for the next few years - and no more dreading the credit card bills, using one card to pay another's monthly instalment etc etc. You know what is ironic about my situation? When I left school I got a job in a bank and I used to say to myself "at least I will never get into the kind of mess some of our customers are in." How the mighty are fallen indeed! And on that happy note - goodnight all debt busters, the sun will come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow, there'll be sun........(shut up woman and get to bed, stop boring these lovely people)

Howdy all! I'm one month away from getting a new job! :j

    Here's the reasoning behind it...

New Tax year starts this week! :D Therefore jobs are needed, people sign them off, I get one of them! :rotfl:

It's almost foolproof! I've had a busy weekend doing family weddings and the like so thanks for all the messages! Something will come along...
Good luck Walshy! I'm in the same boat job wise as you at the mo- and I am hoping that loads of jobs get signed off in April for us to apply for too lol;)

Good luck everyone else too! Hypno - you constantly amaze me with what you achieve!:T

    Hi SH!

I am lucky that personally I have not been in the position **touches wood and reaches for lucky troll** that I have never been out of work. OH has, however, been made redundant several times and each time it gets harder I think, rather than easier, to get another job.

So, I wish anyone who is looking for another job right now the very best of luck.

I have had one loan payment come out - two more come out tomorrow, and I have had £5 credited to my bank account from a tiny casino thingy, which I have now transferred into the debt account......it all helps!

Good morning Hypno et al, a glorious day indeed. Have sown some lettuce and French bean seeds today, awaiting delivery of young broccoli and tomato plants soon. Then, when we get the chickens we will just need a cow or two plus a couple of pigs, some sheep (any volunteers, Shaun?) and we'll be self sufficient. Mind you, I think the neighbours might have something to say seeing as we live in the middle of a busy housing estate....... Found a supplier of good quality home reared meat so awaiting delivery of some packs for the freezer. I believe that even if you have to be careful with money it is better to buy small quantities of really good quality stuff than skip loads of mechanically recovered mush.
