    Or going on Tis Was.

Nope, Tiswas is an ITV thing - I was a BBC girl. ITV was for common people or Northerners :rotfl: I never watched Magpie, or Coronation Street either:rotfl:

IC, good news on the job front :T

  • Smug Northerner joins in with her own, crackerjack pencil ( + autographed piccie) Blue Peter badge and a coveted Top of the Pops audience ticket:D

Walks out flaunting her Rovers Return earrings:rotfl: and does a dying fly act on the floor ( Hypno won't know what that is because she watched BBC1):rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Morning all,

OH got to go on Tiswas AND he picked a name out of the hat, (starring moment) AND got to do the dying fly and got hit by the Phantom Flan Flinger, bet you are all impressed now aren't you? :rotfl:

DD has a Blue Peter badge, we are just so fancy!

We are northerners though - we live in the north of Australia, don't suppose Hypno will want to talk to me anymore  .

OH got paid on Thurs (we get paid fortnightly here, which is fab :j ) so feeling flush.

    Have a good day all

Ah well, I suppose the North/South divide lives on in many ways! Perhaps instead of unemployment and lifespan figures, the government should ask about childhood television watching habits......far more important and obviously having a great impact on us as adults :p

So......it's the weekend.......:j We have a busy one, but hopefully a good one. Both children are skiing today - it is DD's first session "in charge" of the younger group. Normally I would go for a run while she is there, but I think I will lurk in the background with my laptop and my coffee, just in case she comes unstuck. Then this afternoon DS is off to the football, and I thought I would go with DD to see "confessions of a shopaholic" at the cinema. I can't honestly remember the last time I went to the cinema (I tried to see Slumdog Millionaire with seefilmfirst but it was full), so that will be nice.

    But first, coffee....scratchcards.....and banking!

Hope you all have a good one regardless of whether you have "tea" or "dinner" for your evening meal :rotfl:

Hello, my name is Karmacat, I'm a northerner and a BBC1 girl. Though I know about dying fly from college. Does that count??? :) I'm posh tho - we used to have tea, but I have dinner now :)

Thats exciting for DD, Hypno, to be in charge of the littlies, hope it all goes well.
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Hmm... wll I'm common and a northerner. It was Corrie all the way in our house. Though I loved Crackerjack and have never seen Tiswas.
  • Morning all!

I've started selling on Amazon Marketplace. I must be a very lucky geek because I bought all my Stargate SG-1/Atlantis DVD box sets for £19.99 and now selling them for an actual profit as Amazon are charging £37 currently! :j

Sometimes there is an advantage to being a geeky geekerson with a small, minor obsession with Michael Shanks... Ahhh Doctor Jackson, how you made my evenings complete...

So yeah even better was that I bought Take That's album for £2 from Woolworths and now selling it for £7.50!! Even when they take off VAT and seller's fees, I'm still looking at a good profit!

In other news, I'm bored! :rotfl: Crackerjack was a little/way before my time. Mine was Alive and Kicking and Blue Peter...
 Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!

Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!

How do you amass £70k in a year?!
