  • No. 6. I've not been on the Wii either don't know anybody with one my kids think its a joke they are PS3 & Xbox kids. I would like to see a wii fit in action as I hate going out to exercise but daren't mention in front of my big twins. Even my OH who doesn't know one end of a games console from another remarked that they looked stupid when he saw an advert for one last night so I don't think I am likely to get one for my birthday:rolleyes:. So I am impressed with your commitment Hypno especially with those blisters.

    Happy Birthday Taxi:bdaycake:

No Wii or Wii Fit here either! Dr Dragon has a PS2 and that's it!

    Taxi - many happy returns

    Lucielle, hope you are ok!

Managed to book cheap (ish) transport today for my ski trip - it saves us £60 per person so is worth doing, for the sake of going by coach rather than train.

also did a dooyoo review in my lunchbreak - it is horrid weather here, so no incentive to go out in the cold and wet. (although I may go for a run later).

I've not seen anyone about my feet - not really sure if there is anything they can do other than say either don't run, or buy new trainers - neither of which is an option really.

the marathon is 26.2 miles Inky, and is on April 26th.......not long now!

beanie, I have just spent £70 on new ones in January - There is currently no spare money in the budget for another £70+ for another new pair.......DD needs new ski boots this month which are the priority.

Of course, if I win the £100 on the scratchcard instead of the 10p I keep getting............ :rotfl:

    Inky - I have a 20 mile race on 8th March - that is almost a marathon!!

I am really really tired this evening, so won't be going for a run. An early night in readiness for doing a longer run tomorrow evening is in order I think.

Hope you have all had a good day x

There should actually be someone in a running shop who could sort this out for you. One of the shops near to me used machines to work out running gait etc. from this they would recommend shoes and were not out to rip folk off, as lots of them benefitted from their advice..is there anything like that near to you? It could be worth a shot as they could maybe suggest a correct insert.. think it was free BTW, but couldn't swear to it.:o

I did go to a proper running shop - the one I have been going to for years, and did all the gait analysis etc. The daft thing is that the shoes ARE right in many ways - my old ones were causing me severe pain in my hips wheras these ones mean I am lined up properly and have no joint pain......I just have this blister issue!!!

I will go back on Sunday and see if I can change the insoles I think....that is the earliest I can go, because it is out of town.

    Bloomin things!

The majority of shoes I buy fit wonderfully in the shop. When they get home they have got teeth and everything! My sister usually benefits from them as I can't bear sore feet.
