Happy New Year Hypno & Family & to all here in Hypnoland!
Very glad to hear that you had some family time with OH & kids, very much deserved!!!
Most of past 10 days spent fending off the most miserable cold & cough, which has meant lots and lots of sleeping & 5 boxes of tissue! -- Good news is not much spent while on holiday from work, as we were mostly in, watching endless movies on the telly, so very MSE!!!
We've also got tickets for the movie tomorrow morning so will be a lovely FREE event out of the house to start the year!
On the housework front -- have made in-roads on the laundry front and a second dishwasher load just been put in -- trying to ignore the need for vacuuming & the pile of paperwork that needs to be filed!
Going to take some inspiration from all your efforts Hypno & finish my debt-attacking plan for 2009, as well as do some on-line banking.

Just popped on to say Hi, havent really been around lately. Just wish you all a good new year. (If I havent already somewhere?). I have not been on line much and so there is just masses for me to try to catch up on? not sure I will have the time. My speed reading is not as good as it used to be.
Good luck with all the challenges. I hope to improve on my dissmal track record this year. 2008 was a challenging year in more ways then I could have imagined for us. Boldly I step into 2009 with small optimism, but with all my family now around me!
Take care everyone.!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Grrr, my NSD has been spoiled - DS reminded me that he needs new school shoes for Monday.........thankfully I got some in the sale, but even so, I hadn't expected to get them (well, I had expected to, but I had just forgotten)
Oh well - I am up to £40 on dooyoo, so getting there.....and the Christmas Tree has been cleared away and put back in the loft - a couple of loads of washing are done, and I will shortly start on dinner....can life in the hypno household get any better :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. At least the shoes were in the sale, so not all bad. We are having tussles about our tree as teenagers want it up until Monday, i just want to pack it all away. Cards are all down and i have taken wreaths etc down..just the tree remaining.lolBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
You're right Sea, I think the only things less "frippery" than school shoes are sanitary towels.....:rotfl:
The weather forecast has just been on and it is going to be -3 tonight  I have planned a 10 mile run at 7.30 in the morning........**thinks of an excuse** but perhaps I might do my ironing instead :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. We just got on with it and put it away - normally it would be up until the last minute, but I have had enough and just wanted it back up in the loft. Cards have been binned - I haven't even got the scissors out to make them into shopping list cards or gift tags.......
And......progress.......OH is talking about throwing out the saucepans and baking trays and starting afresh......perhaps my minimalist dreams are actually going to happen........Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. I don't need to do this as I discovered when looking for something else that I probably have enough xmas tags to last another three years! I don't think I bought any last year either so I must have been christmas crazy at some point!:o
