Hi everyone,

Just wanted to pop on and say goodbye because I haven't got time to stop and chat at the moment - not packed yet (usual for me!:o ) and presents not wrapped, rest of cards not written and house still a bit upside down, although nearly done!...

Not as bad as it sounds, as clothes all washed and ready to be packed (list to work from left over from last year) only a few pressies which are all going round my mums tonight for when we get back, just the cards, which again, I am late with... but will sit and watch the film and do those after I've packed... Don't think I've ever been ready on time...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway, apart from all that, I'm closer than I ever have been to being ready...:rolleyes:

Bit miffed about the euro tho - next to nothing for the £1 at the moment - still, we'll manage I suppose (or come home early...:D )

But should be able to pop on as there is internet in the apartment, which is great, so that's good...

But just in case....

menolly hugs for your DH - hope the Ab's start to work real soon - are you sure he REALLY needs to go in - he wont get any extra thanks for it - if they had kept him in hospital (where he should be) his work would have had to cope!!

lil_me shame about the house but you had your doubts anyway. keep your eyes peeled (no need to tell you that you already are!!) BTW love the emotional blackmail on DH for fostering!!
soappie - hope the presentation goes well - what a horrid journey - enjoy your G&T when you can eventually sit down and rest your knee!
froddy glad you have rested - need your strength for the ironing!!!! sorry, seriously resting in the warmth was the best idea.

triker hope you are feeling better and thanks for the info on pigpen!!
pigpen I'm with the others here - NAG NAG NAG - please oh illustrious leader we are worried about you and will get so upset if something happens to you so please please please go and see the doc - if the doc is a prat just think of all the fun you will have moaning at us for making you go!!! It would be far better to go now and get sorted out than to leave it and find that Christmas ends up as chaos because you are ill or even worse that you have to deal with NHS direct!!!

Evening all

thanks for the good vibes re my loo but unfortunately it didn't get sorted. Am so mad (though not half as mad as DH). He stayed in cos the guy was meant to be coming at 11.30, eventually phoned the guy at 1pm, guy said he'd be there by 2.30, then guy phoned back to say he went to pick up the part from the plumbers merchant and it was cracked... Neither of us are happy as DH wasted a whole day , I am mad cos DH didn't do the bathroom or anything else apart from wash up and has been in a foul mood ever since. Grrrr. wish i'd stayed at the work do (which was ok but the buffet was so small we had to go out and get chips...) diet to pot today but hey ho.

I'm off tomorrow so hope to catch up on flying as well as seeing friend and new baby.

I'm a bit vacant, sorry. I am so shattered. Was in bed for 9 last night, but had just over an hour up with both boys through the night, so they at least are starting to get better. I had a major relapse today - fever, the shakes, major head pains, and really achey. I am going to have a bath in a minute, then get in bed early again. I've tried a work suit on tonight and it was a tight squeeze but i got in it, so i have clothes to wear for my friends funeral, and my friend is going to drive me there so i won't have that to worry about. A bit tragic that my only break from the boys is to go to a funeral. At least the weekend starts slightly earlier than usual as DH finishes work at 12 to watch the boys for me.

There are so many nasty bugs around at the minute aren't there. Sorry to hear so many of you and your kids are also off it, at least we have a gap till xmas to hope they improve. I think DH realised this morning that i am absolutely on my knees and i desperately need R and R over xmas.

Anyway, going to go and get sorted. Will probably not switch on till late again tomorrow.

Evening everyone.

I knew my early start would catch up with me. Got a headache on the way back from town so tucked myself up on the sofa and had a couple of hours sleep. The cat wasnt amused as I was lying where he sleeps.

Tonight Ive hoovered and dusted living room and tidied. Plus washed the kitchen floor.

Back from my presentation and getting myself on the outside of a large G&T :beer: whilst the spuds boil - boy I need it!

Presentation went very well and I was thanked at the end. Fortunately, the usual agitators were not in the audience for once so everything was smooth.

DS has just informed me he's off to Bristol in the morning for a seminar so will be getting up earlier than usual - this means there may well be bathroom conflict! I guess I'll have to get up earlier so at least I've bathed before he's up!

As for my knee - I think the weather must be changing- it's suddenly stopped complaining!
