skint_chick...thanks. To be honest I have no idea whether we can do that or not! Would be nice to have a fixed amount though like you have. I seem to be fairly limited being in Guernsey and on a self-certified mortgage (only Mr G works). Only have the mortgage, well a couple of hundred on a CC which I've spent this month but will get paid off when Mr G gets his Christmas bonus (oh the part joy of working in civil service
)
Going to feed DD2 and myself now and then move my fat lazy bottom and do something! I'm trying to organise the dining room bit of the kitchen at the moment. It's getting there but very slowly.Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

Hee hee
There is a shiny new bike in my mum and dad's garage and DS knows nothing...
The old bike frame has been taken to the recycling centre and I also took my plastics down there ...(paper metal glass and batteries are collected from here every fortnight).

Just got back from a toddler group which I just discovered. LO loved it, so we'll be going back next week. There was someone there doing manicures (for nothing!) so I had my nails done. She's not there every week though.
I also discovered that there is another toddler group on a Tuesday morning so I'm going to take her to that one too - only £1 each session so it's cheap. Just having something to eat, so haven't done any flying yet.0 -
Well I made it back from the PO in one piece & have taken my neighbours doggie for a walk.
Welcome Miggie
Toots take care of yourself, hope you feel better soon

Afternoon ladies
I've been to town and got a few more presents so slowly getting there and feeling less stressed. Will update my list in a while.
Going to do my dalies now and then put the presents away and try to get the rest of the damp dusting done downstairs.
DS1 had his French oral mock this morning he felt and looked sick before he went, not sure if it was nerves (he is usually very laid back but this is his toughest exam) or if he has a bug coming on.
Soappie hope the presentation went well
Michelle hope you got to the GP ok with the boys
Mudbath - I know you'll read this when you are back, hoping it all goes to plan
Justamum I'm glad you have found a toddler group which you both enjoy

Valli great organisation on the bike - I love it when you can tie jobs together. It makes me mad too when things cost so much to fix - wonder if that will change with the credit cruch? The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
