Morning Julie, were you having a layin to recover from your birthday???;) :D You're normally on here at the crack of dawn, wondered where you were...

No chance - I was up at 2.30 with DS then after I'd had about another hour's sleep
I get up at 5.30. However, I ended up not having a bath last night so I had one this morning! Did all my jobs first as well before I came on the computer.

  • Hello all
Just a flying visit (hehehehe I do make myself laugh... joking) to say hello, have written xmas cards today but not posted, will do tomorrow.

Tidied and vacced and polished living room today, athough it was partly procrastination. I'm 1/4 of the way through a 2000 word essay and its HORRIBLE. 'Normalisation in Post-Unification Germany' anyone?.... Thought not... At least its in English. 300 words on the reunification reasons and events in German after that. For friday next week both of them. Ahhhhhhhhh

Just popping in to catch up - sounds like some of you have been busy today! I have been doing a day's supply in a new school - one which has had a very poor reputation locally for years - and I have had a lovely day! They are definitely the friendliest staff I've met, and the children were considerably better behaved than some of the ones I have at my regular school.

Work again tomorrow, so no flying apart from the minimum here until Friday. I was hoping to have a day in France on Saturday but OH has vetoed it, as he's having a busy week... I'm really feeling fed up today. I'm at the 'Christmas is just a load of hard work all done by me, and I'd really rather not bother' stage at the moment.

michelle - Very nasty bugs around at the moment. I'd go with your instincts.

lil_me - I posted my cards this afternoon.

sarah - more hugs for you and your friend and her DS.

    Evening all

Holly - hope the hospital appointment went well
Kazwook - hope the funeral was a fitting send off.
Dusty - well done on level 3 acceptance - just take it a day at a time until Xmas is over and don't overstretch yourself!
Lil-me - hope you've now recovered from the person collapsing..
Michelle - hugs for the little sick one - I'd call the Doctor anyway just to put my mind at rest..
G&B - your christmas cake recipe sounds like one I would try!
Mudbath - if you're around - good luck!

Just heard on the news Woolworths, apparently, are starting a closing down sale tomorrow so you may all get some good bargains if you need more presents.

Reasonable day at work. The desk I SHOULD have been at wasn't available but I have found anouther which, hopefully, is mine, all mine, until Christmas.

Have polished my presentation, stuck it on the lap top and linked up the projector so all is set for the meeting tomorrow night.

Am now going to make a couple of phone calls then prep a stew for tomorrow night (so it doesn't matter if I'm longer at the meeting than I expect), do stir fry for tonight and then put my feet up.
