Awww ta hun, think it's fair to say last week (workwise) was tough and got tougher and tougher for both OH and myself so friday we escaped to the local and tried to forget the week.;)
Saturday we went into town (Hull)doing that 'let's walk 5 miles around tons of shops and buy 3 items' type of christmas shopping.:D
Today we decided to go for it and we really found that it helps that we write down EVERYTHING we did on a huge white board we've got, the girls also get into it and happily cross out jobs as they've been done.;)
It's a great feeling of achievement and the board is full, there's a few jobs left to do but we''ll get them done in the week.
And it makes me think to all those negative people who put us under so much pressure work wise, well their influence only extends in work time and we haven't allowed them to encroach on our personal time, they could have easily wrecked our weekend and been 'in our heads' but we didn't let them.:DDFW Nerd 267. The powerpoint for the Christmas play is done and I'm pleased with it. Now I just need to remember to change the slides at the right time whilst also prompting one of the readers, supervisising 3 other children, and doing the limbo with my class"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Hi all,
Hope everyones ok.
I kind of gave up towards the end of the week:rolleyes: . Although yesterday Ds1 and i cleaned the living room so we could put up the christmas tree. Today i cleaned the entire downstairs and stripped the beds. I've also just done 2 hours of ironing:eek: . So i suppose i've not done too badly.
Today we went to the castle to see Santa and his reindeer. It was cold but lovely and festive . Ds2 confessed all his sins to Santa. He asked him if he'd been a good boy and Ds2 went into a long story about how we'd put up the tree and decorations but that he'd eaten the candy canes and cookies off the tree.:D Santa was in stitches he could hardly speak.
Anyway i'm in again, thanks Pigpen.

Holly :rotfl: how cute!
Reminds me actually, there was a Santa at the party yesterday and for the second time DS1 went to see him (first time was at party last year) anyway, he asked if he'd been on a diet (much slimmer Santa) then proceeded to give him an ear full about the present from 2 years ago he wrote a nice letter for but didn't getasking if there is any chance he could have it this time as he's been good etc. Much to everyones amusement inc Santa's who apologised very much :rotfl:
Well did a bit more, filled the DW, just room for breakfast dishes from the boys then that can go on before I leave in the morning. TD back on as someones switched it off......DS2s got some jumpers in there, I think he's left one at school AGAIN! I've been looking for a smaller desk aswell, I still need it to have about as much space is the problem for the printer and scanner, bother, don't think I will find one big enough but small enoughOne day I might be more organised...........
