Hi all, well tired out now. Finished off the unusual burst of energy by dumping 3 bags and 2 boxes at the charity shop:j:j:j:j:j
Then for some unknown reason..........went food shopping. I only wanted some Trex in order to make the 'special' mince pie recipe listed here. Such is the power of Oldstyle I had to try it and I don't even like Mince Pies.:o
Such is the power of MSE I have 2 jars of posh mincement from Tesco that was reduced to 10p each months ago.....and I don't even like mincemeat.:o
Anyway I managed to hit Tesco jus at reduction time so managed to get the girls some lovely veg. I spotted some bags of reduced cabbage and I thought 'Mmmm I know two lovely ladies who would like that' so got a few bags. CLUE it's not for the children
OH has dramatically come down with a cold, not good.
Had a drama trying to download the USA maps onto the Tomtom, unfortunately my little tiny netbook/laptop thing did not have enough memory to do the download so abandoned it mid way through, baaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Then tried to download Tomtom home on the big PC but it wouldn't run the blasted thing so somewhere in cyberspace are my maps of the US. I'm going to email Tomtom tomorrow to ask what to do.I'm a bit baffled and fed up because I wanted to be a bit organised.:o
Anyway I noticed something unique and amazing about myself today!:p
This is the first year, for as long as I can remember, that I haven't been rushing round town, desperately trying to find presents for people.;) The run up to christmas is usually so fraught for me it has been really lovely not to be doing the frantic shop. It's usually from the last four weeks until the last available day to get christmas done.I'm already booked up next weekend as I have a party to go to so I don't intend doing too much beforehand shopping wise then either.
This is in part because we're going away but mainly due to this great site and the tips for great buys and this spot here and you ladies and guys who have inspired me to change a lifetimes habits and finally start to get a grip on my house so I don't want to leave it all the time.:T
Obviously last but no means least ta to PigPen for keeping it all going.:T
And yes, I have been on the gin!!:rotfl: xxDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Morning All
We all went to bed at 10.45 last night after going to the party so hopefully the kids will sleep in until about 8 or they're going to be shattered and whingy. Ended up doing hardly anything yesterday as I didn't get back from shopping until 5.30, so by the time we'd had some tea and got changed it was time to go out.
I'm going to finish writing my family cards in a minute and then I can drop them off at my mum and dad's before they go over to my Grandma's - we have quite a large family so they all get distributed/collected from there.
We're supposed to be putting the decorations up today as well so I need to clean the LR. I've got my work's do on Thursday and my colleague is coming home with me to get changed so I would like the house to be something like by then but we'll see!
Lil-me - I posted my cards last Saturday so mine are probably at your DO.
Natty - I got the front of an envelope in a RM polybag so I'm assuming that was your card. Have you complained? You should at least get stamps in compensation and they need to know as either it's one of their machines or, which may be more likely, one of their staff is opening cards.
Serena - pleased to hear your mum's a little better. Hope she makes a speedy recovery.
Mrs LL - Am I too late for the BBQ?
Lil-me - hope you're feeling better today.
SS - Hugs to you and your friend - hope you're feeling better today.
I'm sure I've missed people so hugs to all
Hope you have a wonderful day.

Morning All
I'm hoping to watch Scrooged with my girls today. It's such a funny movie, and has the potential to make me feel cheery.
Right, I'm off to put the Christmas cards up somewhereMMSSB Club Founder Member
