Phone with headset (landline)

Hi
As I regularly have long conversations on the landline phone, I am looking to buy one of those phones with headsets, the type used by telephonists and operators in call centers.

Can anyone suggest a good/comfortable model with reasonable features (what to look for?) which is not too expensive?

Many thanks

Just use a phone with a headset output and a 'mobile type' headset (the 'clip round the ear' ones, not the dangly ones). If you plan on really extended conversations, have a google for Plantronics - they make the headsets most Call Centres use and have quite a range of headsets and converters.

A lot of the BT converse home telephones take conventional callcentre headsets. There's a lot of them on ebay. I use an older one (BT, but not converse) myself that actually came from a company phone system that was replaced. Plantronics Encore or Supra headsets are really good and used in callcentres all over, but they're quite expensive.

I have BT Converse 425's in my home.
    Both are compatible with headsets.
I picked mine up on ebay for £30ish as it appears that
    BT have discontinued the model.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers
