  • ummmm..... i got a giant stuffed dopey toy when my eldest was born. my then husband knew i liked dopey from snow white and thought it would be great! when my youngest was born my new husband bought me a chinese.

    the ring is a lovely idea.

    i have heard of an eternity ring being given at the birth of a child, what i did was i had a diamond put into a plain band (which can be worn on any finger) to represent my daughter. Had i gone on to have another child, i would have put another diamond into the same band or a saphire if it were a boy and so on...

    I would then have given this (and shall do) to my daughter once she had her children putting in a diamond for girls and saphires for boys until it was full. hoping she will pass it on to her daughter.

    It would be hard to get the right size of ring though as shes pregnant. The best thing would be to get a half eternity ring, as im not sure a full eternity ring can be altered.
