"As new" implies that the item will be in exactly the same condition as a new one, ie not graded stock. If they've sent out marked or damaged goods described "as new" then that's a problem and not something you should try to justify.
I've had quite a few problems with them over the last few months but customer service has always been brilliant with everything resolved quickly.
The post made no mention of any marked or damaged goods just that items sold "as new" had been used, anybody purchasing an item "as new" should not expect that product to be "new" as the op seems to.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

Hilarious you may find it, but that is simply because your missing the point, the op stated they had "proof" then offered up half baked unsubstantiated greivances as examples, none of which constitute proof and if relied upon to substantiate an allegation could land the op in trouble.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

Actually you can't - we successfully took someone to court for libellous statements made about our company online in an internet forum, as well as for a campaign of harrassment and hate as it was ongoing.
Freedom of speech does not mean freedom to be a git.Do not feed the trolls please.0 -

I have no idea if any of what has been posted is illegal or not,to be honest I don't much care,I'm interested in whether or not there is truth in what has been posted so that I can make up my own mind about things.when I read what was posted at the start it did make me wonder about boffer even though I have had no problems myself, but as this has gone on it is clear to me that it is the same few people who are posting and that they are grabbing at everything they can to make out that boffer is a bad site.I don't know what has gone on with the ex mods and ex members but to go from using and in some cases praising the site to suddenly having lists of complaints in such a short space of time it just seems to me that this is about something other than what is being posted here, and rather than trying to be informative as they claim that it is a campaign against the site for whatever reason, even tattyfurby mentioned that it had got petty. The mse site is not a place for airing private grievances under the cover of being helpful and informative. If you are unable to see that then try reading the threads again as it is clear to most of us here.0 -
I agree that 'as new' certainly should not mean damaged,it isn't the same thing as brand new or new though so if an item has pictures on it from prior use or doesn't come in a perfect box for example it can still be called 'as new'.I have had items from ebay that have been described as 'as new' that have obviously been used or tested but are not showing any signs of wear so are still classed as new.I go back to my earlier question of whether or not gb2774 contacted boffer with these problems and whether or not a refund or exchange was offered?"As new" implies that the item will be in exactly the same condition as a new one, ie not graded stock.
