evening lovely banned ex-Boffers. some of us have been getting a bit tired of the over-modding and tend to meet on msn or skype to talk nonsense and have a bit of banter. There's me, rayhigh, misspinkkat, tink3862, norbert_dragon, malwaid.....
PM me if you fancy it or even just a good b*tch about it all!!!0 -
Sorry for bumping this thread back up but I have been informed by a few people that are on my forum and also post here that they have been issued a warning that they will be banned from boffer should they persist and inviting other members to it. This means that boffer have access to all your private messages and are using the information against you.
Can anyone here tell me if that is against data protection.
Or if you use the same user name on boffer as you do on here will that also mean if you complain about boffer you will get a bann. As clearly members only have the right to buy or praise boffer.0 -
Check this out boffer i Repeat might be reading PM'S as we do not have the facts or proof on this

If you don't like boffer, don't go on there. Problem solved!
And as Dave said, if you consider any website which sells alcohol they use the same methods. Even big companies like smirnoff you just have to enter a fake date of birth to get inside.
Unless I'm seriously misreading the CAP Code on the Advertising Standards Agency website then the picture that boffer thought was so hilarious to use to advertise the cordless screwdriver breaches at least 2 sections....
FEAR AND DISTRESS
9.1 No marketing communication should cause fear or distress without good reason. Marketers should not use shocking claims or images merely to attract attention.
VIOLENCE AND ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
11.1 Marketing communications should contain nothing that condones or is likely to provoke violence or anti-social behaviour.

The fact that the photo wasn't 'real' doesn't really come into it, judging by some of the comments in the forum over the 2 hours that it was on screen there were several people who were offended/upset and considered it to be in very poor taste.Ebay Bag a Day Challenge........4/5Ditch 100 Challenge..... Hi hun, no offence but you would have to say such things being a moderator for their site. It is only fair that you stand up for them. At least you have the guts to do it.
Were as me being a former mod I shall stand up for their members and ex members that have been treated unfairly through the lack of proper customer service, Boffer can't police peoples opinions or which site they use. I can't police my members either they are free to go onto boffer and buy or chat I wont ban them from my site.
Plus my site was running before I was banned from boffer. But I feel I was banned shortly after i voiced my opinions on here maybe a coincidence?0 -

me bein moderator has nawt to do with anything im not obligated to do anything especially not outside of boffer.
All these people are throwing accusations left right and center with no actual evidence to back it up so tis only right people know that its WRONG!
I will stand up for what i believe in and i certainly dont believe in nor support deflammatory comments about any site without evidence to back it up, i for one am very happy with both the service and the goods recieved with boffer and im njot ashamed to stand up and say so, there is great people there and they dont deserve this hate campaign that people have going on0
