Yesterday i got a chap at the door,YAY it was my new laptop, But to my horror AGAIN this laptop has only 512mb of ram installed.

There has also been other items i have purchased that they oversell and don`t have the stock to fulfill orders, You do get a refund a few weeks down the line when you contact THEM.

I am going to trading standards about it this time as its not as advertised.

Please advise if there is anything else i should do,Thank you all for reading

P.s. Yes i am the easy going ex moderator from boffer everyone liked.

Banned for no reason along with maggzymay,kimmy-s,tattyfurby and a few others.And still to be given a reason, ILLEGAL don`t you think since we all got outstanding transactions with this company????

It`s about time everyone found out what e-net/svp/boffer/24gone/bigpockets whatever they call themselves is all about cornering the market and that breaks every rule in the book imo.

As you can all see from my above post my issues are a lot more extreme than some cheap tat pound shop mugs (maybe i was wrong on those sorry!)

I have plenty proof that boffer sells goods not as described and oversells items frequently,

A few examples are:

Laptop sold through boffer oversold (customer refunded but same laptop on bigpockets 2 days later)

Faulty mp3 players that won`t syncronise,

Cat scratching post,

Digital photo frames sold as new when clearly used/damaged,

Swiss cards,

More recently mp3 player (freebie but still not as pictured/described)

Am not going to waste any more time here and you lot can take what you want from it all, You have been warned!!!!

Gosh this has to be the most boring thread that is full of anger for a long time. Regardless, you have all made the right decision - for you. i.e. if you dont like the service or quality of product from any company then you dont buy from them again, If you do - then you do (if that makes sense !)

At the end of the day Boffer sells stuff that other people cant sel - so you shouldnt be surprised it comes with problems, but I have seen great customer service on the items I have bought from them - and always good communication even when things have gone wrong.

Wow you must be the unluckiest customer ever to have had all of these problems,why did you keep buying from them though?Did you let them know about each of these?because if you don't let them know they can't help you,I had to get a refund for one item and it was done quickly with no problems at all,if you did let them know were you not offered a refund or an exchange?the freebie mp3 were an upgrade,there is a thread about it on boffer, Lauren has offered to send the original model to anyone that wishes to swap.Also there was a thread about the swisscards and a refund was given out without anyone needing to return the items.The idea that if you complain you get barred or your posts get deleted just doesn't ring true as these threads and others show.As others have said it does seem to be a case of sour grapes.If you did let them know about all of your problems with these items and they didn't offer you a refund or exchange then I apologise.but to me it seems all of this has only come about after you were barred from there.

There's a clue in the name here for you, Whilst boffer may be associated with big pockets that doesn't mean to say they can simply pass stock between both companies to satisfy the disgruntled, commerce just doesn't work that way.

Digital photo frames sold as new when clearly used/damaged, Another clue for you here note the inclusion of the words "As new" this means they are NOT new.

Swiss cards, As far as I can tell boffer refunded and allowed customers to keep these items what more would you have them do than this?

More recently mp3 player (freebie but still not as pictured/described) They clearly have container loads of the things and they vary in colour, size and capacity I think that has always been clear from their sales.

As for being warned when someone comes along with an actual beef rather than a personal axe to grind perhaps then people will listen, as it is all we see at the moment is a malicious slur campaign being waged by a few some of which appear to be disgruntled ex mods, judging by their behaviour on here I'm not the least bit surprised they were banned.
So I suggest that you actually GET some proof before declaring it. If your not careful you could well find yourself on the wrong end of legal action, Boffer may have tolerated your online tantrums thus far but you are clearly sailing close to the wind with your campaign.

No offence here, but this is just hilarious...you can post what you like on the internet, freedom of speech and all that. Since when has anything gb has said been illegal? They are pointing out their experiences with the company in order to try and help others who may be unsure - everyone is allowed their own opinon!

My comments weren't necessarily related to the individual post but the collective campaign being waged on unfounded allegations of impropriety and dishonesty by this little group of disgruntled ex mods, have a look around and you will see what I mean. Interestingly you seem to think that a picture of a ketchup festooned actor enough to bring action against this site when posted by a member of the site without the knowledge or specified consent of that owner.

"As new" implies that the item will be in exactly the same condition as a new one, ie not graded stock. If they've sent out marked or damaged goods described "as new" then that's a problem and not something you should try to justify.

I've had quite a few problems with them over the last few months but customer service has always been brilliant with everything resolved quickly.
