I have found a run down empty house BUT.....

I found the same website as "dunc" (post 10.01.06) at https://www.land-property-grab.com and got quite excited at the thought of "free property" as we are looking for a house at the moment. Then I scrolled down to the bottom of the page on that website, where it says "calls cost £1.50 a minute for 5 min call...", and my suspicions were aroused, as they always are by astronomical call costs, good little money-saver that I am. Anyway, I decided to do more research, went straight to this chatroom - love MartinsMoney - and have read everything useful since dunc, which has answered all my questions and saved me £7.50!!! Thank you alll!! :T0

As you're talking about doing up a derelict property is it true that once a property has been empty for 2 years there is no or reduced VAT on costs of improvement ?? Hope so anyway.0

It should 5% VAT on a property that has been empty for 3 or more years and zero if it has been empty for 10 years. I'd get a better accountant than ours though :wall: it's either not as simple as it appears or he made it more complicated than it should have been.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
