no its not. In fact my local hospital has had jammers fitted to stop people using them. just because doctors have a phone doesn't mean its safe to use in hospitals.

I said most! Any trust who has fitted jammers is just pathetic as these devices emit RF on the same frequencies to block the mobiles reception in order to stop their use. As said above the only real reason is to force people to use the 'it could only happen in Rip Off Britain' Patient Line service. My local hospital has mobile phone base stations on it's roof as well as a transmitter for pagers and the doctor/consultants have always used their mobiles for years.

  • will they let us use a mobile in a hospital ?[/quote]

I work in a hospital and staff and patients use mobiles freely, but obviously you will need to check with your particular hospital if they are allowed there.

I am going into a private hospital so they don't have the rip-off email service that the NHS does. They have confirmed I can take the laptop in, but have not confirmed whether they have Wi-Fi or if not whether I can use a mobile modem.

Would you mind letting me know which hospital this is? As mobile phone jammers are illegal in the UK.

You have not answered the question and you obviously don't understand how a mobile jammer works!

    Hi there

I'm with T- Mobile and I've got an LG phone can't remember the model no.
However I can access the internet on it.

I know they do a 5 day internet access deal for £2.50.

I've heard that I may be able to connect my phone to my laptop and access the internet.

If this is true how do I do this?

I'm not a techno wiz so I hope it's simple to do.

    Thanks
