Hear hear, I have never needed one and have never got lost, I use a 99p Road Atlas, updated on a yearly basis.
At least I don't get sent via town centres in rush hour like some friends that use Sat Navs.
lol they are clearly dimwhits who either cant think for themselves or dont know how to use it properly!0 -

Surely it is the Sat Nav that is the dim wit if it cannot distinguish the best route all by itself.:rolleyes:0 -

I got a tomtom 1XL last year, the map updates are free and the speed camera database cost me £9.99 for a year (special deal in Halfords when I got the unit) which i'll be renewing when it comes round. That updates once a month with email reminders to plug the unit in.0

No need to, I have my routes in my head, I use my eyes to concentrate on the road, not some mini tv screen.;)0 -

Those that consider satnav users dimwits havent really thought through their usefulness.
For my work I have to find all kinds of addresses in out of the way places
Sometimes I can be in a bad signal area and cant call the person I am visiting for directions by mobile phone, No shops open and no one in the streets to ask can be a bit of a pain
Putting in the postcode and being guided so close to my destination is a great advantage saving me time and fuel.
For regular driving I'm quite happy to use my 99p mapsIWasLookingBackToSeeIfSheWasLookinBackToSeeIfIWasLookinBackAtHer.....0 -
