There are a number of Nando's in the Birmingham area. To my knowledge they ALL give a 20% discount (certainly the ones I use) to any member of the NHS or Emergency Services..Police, Fire, Ambulance. Like the loyalty card, they dont openly advertise it, but if you show your ID card, they slice a whopping 20% of the whole bill which makes a big difference to the total  I am not sure whether this is a local thing or nationwide. If you are in the above professions, it is certainly worth asking when you go.(dont forget your card).
Sorry if this is not a saving tip for everyone, but hopefully I have saved some colleagues some money.
Cheers.
However, in recent months, they are getting cheeky and will only discount a portion of the bill for the 'NHS' member only and not for the whole of the order.... especially |Broad Street.0 -
When I went my friend tried to get my card stamped after me as we paid seperately. The woman asked her manager but she said only 1 stamp per visit. This was in Guildford

I noticed this too..
I only received a discount on my half chicken, not the olives, garlic bread, or the drink, or the dessert. I queried it, and she said "you only received discount for your meal"... apparently the other items I listed aren't part of my meal - lol.
I wonder if someone takes the lady who served me out for 'a meal' and then refuses to get her a starter / sides / dessert or even a drink, she'd think that was a bit funny!0 -
As with any company, the Nando's stamps are already priced into the meal.
I end up spending 20+ on the meal regardless of the stamps (yes, I've gone through several full chicken cards) for 2 people, because if you take side dishes, drinks etc. it'll quickly add up.
If you think about it, 1 olive and a beer = 1/2 chicken0 -
for all our muslim Mse'ers.... pls note not all Nando's are HALAL...........PLEASE ASK.Use your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.I walk with the world & the world walks with me!I don't make bad choices!!! Other people just fail to see my GENIUS !!!!0

Ok, I'm REALLY confused about this.
Could somebody sensible help clear this up for me please?
The rules say you spend over £5 or whatever to get the stamp, which is fine, I get that part. But it says the stamps for your free 1/4 and 1/2 chicken must be used on the day you get them. How does this work thoughif you have to buy stuff to get the stamp in the first place?
So I have 5 stamps, my next stamp, number 6, is the free 1/2 chicken stamp. So I have to go to Nandos for a meal to get my next stamp, but I can only use it on that day. So what do I do? Buy like my side dishes (chips & spicy rice, gotta be) and my drink, use those to get the stamp, and then claim my free chicken at the till all on the same visit?
And when I get my number 10 stamp I can just walk in another day and get a free whole chicken? Or does that have to be used on the same day too? As far as I know stamp number 10 doesn't require a purchase. So how can you get that stamp, yet use it on the same day?
Surely I am WAY overcomplicating this. Could somebody just talk me through it REALLY simply? This is WAY more fun than monopoly.0 -

Hi you've actually answered your own question - truly it's quite simple. When you redeem your 1/2 chicken stamp be sure to buy two side dishes and a drink = this comes to over £5 and with it you will get a FREE 1/2 chicken and a stamp of course.
The only time you don't have to spend anything is when you redeem your final stamp for a whole FREE chicken. (So in reality you don't get a 10th stamp as they take the card away from you at this point).
Lol you've actually managed to confuse me now - I had to get my own card out to check but if you look at square 10 it's completely GREEN so there is no room to place a stamp.
Hope that makes sense.0
