I think you were still away the other day when I was on here rambling - he phoned me up last weekend and told me it was over, for a long string of reasons.. and then changed his mind and acted like nothing had happened. It's been ongoing for a while that he'll say he's fed up and unsure about things and I've felt like I'm always having to talk him round and prove that I'm good enough. Last weekend I was really upset but it was like something clicked in my head, and I've admitted to myself that I've not really been happy either - I'm fed up with putting my life on hold and believing promises that never happen.

I see - sounds like you need to deal with it sooner rather than later. And given his phonecall last weekend I'd be tempted to phoine him rather than wait and see him face to face...

Thanks - got in. O/D is ticking down steadily. I'mnow being charged about £13 a month interest rather than the £19 odds I was being charged just 6 months ago:D

Will update siggy in a minute.

My A&L regular saver matures this month too so need to decide where best to allocate that £600 - probably to o/d to be honest then should be able to clear that with January salary so need to get my finger out and move remaining direct debits to A&L rather than doing a bank shuffle every month

I'm not sure if I can after I gave him such a hard time about doing that by phone and not having the guts to sit down with me face to face! He just phoned a minute ago to say he might make it over tomorrow, so we'll see. Why do I feel like I'm being the 'bad' one?

I'm finding it very strange that I've gone from thinking he's the only person I ever want to be with to thinking 'hmmm maybe not'...

Because you're a decent human being with proper feelings. Once its dealt with a weight will lift. I should have had 'the talk' with my ex-OH at least 6 months earlier after it was clear nothing was changing despite his promises to sort himself out. Instead I lugged it round as a weight on my shoulders making me and all those around me miserable...
