What's the symptoms?
The pilot wont light - it has been a bit dodgy for a couple of weeks (it is a very old boiler) but usually when we reset it, it all bursts into life again. It is completely dead though tonight - nothing happening even when reset. In the words of my OH its a piece of *****!
Does it sound terminal? xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Redsquirrel,
I was in a relationship that every 3 months in a cycle my ex would start an argument (don't get me wrong, we argued weekly in between) and he would tell me he wanted out. OUT!!! I would beg him not to, and we'd go back to normal.
I ended up hating myself, feeling worthless, hating my looks and personality.
You don't have to apologise for things you haven't done. My ex did that to me. Of course though, you need to work it out for yourself. I needed to.

Mine did that and we had to bite the bullet and get a new one...is far better and quiet too. Was £700 including boiler and fitting. Is a Worcester combi boiler if that helps..Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

OH has tried the I want out card twice - both times I've said 'ok' and shrugged my shoulders.. (in my new assertive post-cruella mode).....within an hour he is wanting to talk........
He's popped home to get some clothes and then get ready. He looked quite enviously at me brandishing an indian takeaway menu............ah well, he will want to be 21 again and think he can drink untl 4...........;)
I'm liking this boost of self esteem. It's great for saying 'have a great time in the rain, smoking outside, expensive beer, hangover tomorrow, no, don't worry about me - I'm planning an excellent evening here with my curry and a lovely snuggly throw!'
I'm on the Taboo and lemonade now. I haven't had that since I was about 19. It was reduced in Somerfield and I had a retro moment yesterday."Stay Wonky":D

Yep was a handy little man..he used to work for British gas and really is good. He fixed my neighbours old Ravenheat boiler as well. Ours was also the same make, but was beyond repair.
It is hard to find a chap like this who you can trust not to rip you off. He also services the fire as well..in jan he charged £60 for a joint service. If you lived nearer i would give you his number..Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

have faith penguin . OH was laying there for nearly 30 minutes click, click, clicking.........I just gave it the gentle touch and prayed a lot and it was ok. It kept going back out every time I got it lit, but I just released the button for a few seconds and tried again.
