Lloyds TSB online faster payments

I have to call phone banking and specifically ask to send a payment using the Faster Payment system. The first time I discovered I couldn't do it online I was told Lloyds were not using FP online at the moment due to 'fraud concerns, and some payments had gone through early on that they would have stopped'
My last transfer failed on the FP and took 3 days to get to my mortgage account.....0 -
I don't understand how they can say they can't do FP online and then go ahead and process online payments as FP's!!!! :wall:
Twice this week I've had future payments set up to pay CC bills, each time allowing the obligatory 3 days for funds to reach the account, yet both were processed and paid immediately on the same day!!!! You can't win with LTSB atm “You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
The last 3 times I've tried to use FPS through telephone banking this week I have been told "the system is not working". Lloyds TSB appear to be moving backwards with their implementation.0

Wow LTSB are really going down the Gary Glitter!0

I've done FP transfers from Lloyds to an external numerous times and it has always worked. Not one single problem.
It is a pain ringing them up to do it, but as it's not a service they have to offer I'm quite happy to do that to get the money to transfer within 5 seconds.0 -
The last dozen times I have asked for a FP on the phone from Lloyds it has worked except today so any transfer will not reach the other account until week after next!!Keep the Faith:cool:0

whu, BACS transfers take 3 working days, so if you do it today it'll arrive at other bank on 23rd, if you do it on Mon 22nd it'll arrive Wed 24th. The only problem you'll have is if you do a transfer on Tuesday 23rd of next week, that wont arrive until Mon 29th. So you still have 4 days to actually do a transfer for it to arrive before the bank holidays and weekends.0

I have had a long running SO going from my BOS current account to my LTSB monthly saver, in November it was sent by BOS as a Faster Payment and accepted by LTSB.
In December my SO was rejected by LTSB because it was a FP and now I am told by BOS that I can not revert to a normal SO for this transaction because it was accepted back in November, their 'system' refuses to revert back. LTSB are still not accepting the FP transfers and I am effectivly stopped from paying into my monthly saver with 3 months still to go to end of term.
BOS tell me there is nothing they can do about it and LTSB tell me they are looking into the problem, meanwhile I have had to take time off work and have lost a month at 8% on my £250 December deposit.0 -
My wife tried to do a faster payments today with Lloyds TSB. The amount being £500. She knows to do this using Phonebank and not to do so using Online banking. The intended recipient was also a Lloyds TSB customer - the recipient account being a solicitor's client account.
My wife was asked, "Do you want to use a reference?" and after giving one, my wife was told by the phonebank assistant, "If you put that on it will go using a normal type of transfer, which will take 3 days and not 2 hours or so, so is that alright?"
"No," said my wife, "Leave it off. I want it to go within two hours. It's important."
"OK," said the phonebank assistant, "I'll give you a transaction reference number."
She then proceeded to give my wife a 25 digit 'numbers only' reference number.
My wife laughed, saying, "If this transaction reference number was less long, then you'd have room to put one in for me."
This 25 digit number had a block of 10 '0s' in it!
How effing ridiculous!0 -
Have been told that the faster payments will work in Jan.0
