    Morning Peeps :santa2:

Yay it's FFFriday :T. Welcome Mudgekin and Oysterchatcher.

Jack frosts been busy here last night.

Christams concert and fair was lovely last night, i love watching the infants staring into space fidgeting and picking their noses :rotfl:. DD2 danced the whole way through much to everyones amusement. Lots of villagers aswell as parents turned up so hopefully lots of money raised :T

I think there is some sort of alarm on this chair everytime i sit down, either one of the dogs barks to go out, DD2 wants a wee , so here goes speed typing......

Off shopping today, with belt having been tightened even more i'll do my best got lots of reciepe's from here most ingredients in cupboard so not such a big list :j

WM is on, yesterday's are various radiators, need to hoover through and swish BR, whip through BR's

Something quick tonight for T don't know yet.....

Right off to get cracking, hope you all have a good day xx

PS may i recommend the Bounty Balls they are absolutley lovely.....:D

    Morning all,
Welcome to the newbees, hope you enjoy it here.:hello:

Oh it's so cold, if we didn't have to go out I would light the fire but have to buy essentials, will pop to Mr.T and get some half priced beef and see what bargains are going at Woolies. Got to take DD2's 2 Labs for a walk, we didn't take them to the Forest y/day as we don't trust them not to jump into the water. Managed to pick lots of teasles for xmas decs, they look lovely when sprayed silver. Have done a deal with a friend, she has a huge holly bush layden with berries and I have some HM sloe gin, plan to do a swap next week.

Defrosting soup for lunch and have a quiche cooked for DD2 and OH for their dinner, I have a meat loaf slowly cooking for our dinner, DH has peeled pots so dinner sorted.

Have done some more sewing on the quilt I'm making for DGD, hope I can get it finished for Xmas, I've sort of copied a C. Kidson pattern.

Hope all poorlies are feeling better.

TAPLAY, thoughts and prayers for LESLEY.

    Morning

I have a midwife apt first thing so taking the opportunity to do some chores and errands at the same time.

The house isn't in too bad a state, so a quick wipe round and hoover should be enough for it today. It's been a busy week - but got a decent nights sleep last night which is great.

Dinner tonight is chilli con carne and rice and lunch is a cheese toasty and a yogurt. yummy :D

    hugs to all xxxx

  • Morning All

Its been an eternity since I last posted on this thread so I hope you dont mind me joining in again.

Busy day for me today but usually when I think that, it turns out that the list of 'to do's' actually looks worse than it ends up being!

Cleaning the bathroom this morning, ironing and packing my bags as I am off on a trip tomorrow. Then horror of horrors I have the local paper coming to interview me and do a few photos about a charity trek I am doing next year. I HATE having pics taken and am DREADING it lol but its a must be done!

Its a wee bit warmer here today than it has been of late and its clear and sunny -- sandwiches for lunch and cod with parsley sauce, mash and peas for dinner then baked apples stuffed with home made mincemeat.

So not a very OS day in all honesty!
  • Morning everybody,I can't believe it's Friday already.
It's icy outside but strangely I don't think it's as cold as yesterday.
Betheebee. I have'nt had breakfast yet and I've just noticed you have lunch and dinner sorted already. You are well organised.
I'm not going to venture out today.I slipped and jolted my back yesterday as it was very icy and I'm now very sore.Think I'll just spend the day preparing meals for the weekend, that's if I can stay upright long enough.
Anyway have a good day everyone and if it's icy where you are be careful and stay warm.xxxx

Hi all - I'll come back later and read properly but thought I'd let you know what we have heard from the little girl's Nan, who has been with her since Tuesday; you've all sent such good wishes and prayers, for which we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

She was not expected to make it on Tuesday night and no appropriate bed could be found for her anywhere in the country. She is still in an adult ICU ward but now has the most fantastic consultant who has been able to get the treatment right; she is now breathing for herself with only a little help and things are looking slightly more optimistic.

    Taplady - prayers for Lesley.

I feel as if I've been neglecting the thread lately but it's been a strange, almost surreal, few days and hopefully I can get back on track soon.

(((Hugs))) to all of you and thanks, once again, for your thoughts and prayers - they mean such a lot and really do help.

    Morning all!

Much warmer here today, and dry after yesterday's downpours. Sunnyday, thanks very much, girls are now just washed out but aren't being sick, so think they're on the mend. I've been running around during the night with them so slightly tired!

Chrisca - happy birthday, enjoy your weekend!

Grannybroon - congrats for your anniversary yesterday!

Tru - have a lovely time, I look forward to hearing what it's like there.

N9eav - I heard that the Woolies web site had been closed, it was on the radio on weds I think.

Swished and swiped the kitchen, bm on and think that's it at the mo! Will be wrapping pressies in a bit, need to sort through the stocking fillers and get them wrapped, it's always the tiny bits that take ages! Lunch will be leftover leek and pot soup from Weds and dinner might be a takeaway, or it might be brisket which I'm about to chuck in the sc in a bit.

Hope everyone has good days, hugs to all xx

Edit: Kathy, I'm so glad that there has been some improvement in the lo's condition, you are all in my prayers xx

  • Morning to all:hello: IT'S FRIDAY!YESSSS!

OH didn't make it down last night, the chopper was delayed so he got back to aberdeen right on rush hour. Poor thing was so tired we decided it best not to undertake a 2.5 hour drive to Edinburgh:eek:
Anyway he is leaving this morn and will be meeting me for lunch!EXCITED!
Want a quick day here as I always do on a Friday:rolleyes: Going to Edinburgh vs Wasps tonight and the folks are up as well so will be plenty pies and beers later on.The club are asking peeps coming along to bring a present for a child and then the players will be going along to the Sick Kids Hospital to hand them out so I will pop to Woolies for something to take I think.
Mum is staying over as she has stall at a big xmas fair in Edinburgh tomorrow. I am going to help her and I'm looking forward to it, will be putting my Marketing degree to good use!lol

Lunch will be on OH (is this OS?!) and tea will be a scotch pie or stovies at the game tonight.
Hope everyone is well today, Happy Friday:beer:

    Morning all.

I am just about to go shower and get dressed to go into my "old" new job to pcik my stuff up. I was made redundant and started at a new job only to be got rid of effectively in my second week.I won't bore you all here with details which i have gone into on another thread but suffice to say they are being very unreasonable. My theory is they are getting rid of me cos I had a little teary eyed moment on Wednesday afternoon due to something personal. They took advantage of this to make out that this means I am not up to the job and get rid of me and I was told not to come in the next day as my assignment had been terminated. They were implying I wasn't up to the job but after induction I had only effectively been in role for about a week and had not recieved proper training. The nature of the role and company means there is a heck of a LOT of new processes and procedures to take in and it isnt that I wasnt taking them in as they imply but that not only do they expect me to hit the ground running, they expect me to be up to the level of my predecessor who was there a year. Even she was still learning things after a year at the company and from what I was told by everyone you cannot be expected to know everything right away.

I am even more gutted as I have had to buy things from the Xmas Party which is to be tonight as it is black tie and I don't have anything suitable. I had to buy a dress, jewellery and a shawl as it's cold.I hope with luck that I will be able to take these back.

Hope everyone is safe and well in this weather. More later no doubt..
