If all you have to worry about in life is an apostrophe, I really really want your life :p

That's outstanding. What gets me is, just what the hell did the signwriter think he was doing? I can understand it if some low-IQ costermonger writes something like:

    Potatoe's

    on his blackboard.

But for !!!!'s sake, isn't it part of a signwriter's basic training to get to understand the usage of the apostrophe in the English language? How !!!!ing difficult is it?

In Hull there is a salubrious eaterie on Anlaby Road called "Neice,s Diner". That's a diner belonging to someone whose full name presumably is 'Denise'. But for !!!!'s sake, the apostrophe is UPSIDE !!!!ING DOWN.

What is more bizarre is that this particular heater-up of potatoes and animal products remains in business, even in these straitened times.

No,i suspect all a signwriter cares about is painting what the client ask for (the clients responsibility is to do the proofreading).

I have seen a spelling error on a massive sign on a car sales outfit. We can't all be perfectly educated, but many still get by!!
  • The apostrophe is still there.

It's annoying because the tippex on my screen is now blocking out other bits that I want to see.

Now if I rub it off and just tippex again before I see the offending apostrophe, I fear a national shortage of tippex.

    Just what do I do?

Can you people not see the bit saying CORNWALL??
Shame you couldn't have taken a pic of the webbed fingers and the pointy head.

There's a post on here somewhere about a bithday cake.
The icing message was read out over the phone, when the cake arrived it had something along the lines of:

    Happy birthday dad
    and underneath love the kids

  • Not stressing - just annoyed.

There is little more annoying than some randomly placed apostrophe.
