Disneystore clothes are smaller! I've bought several of these robes over the years for my child (but only when they're 50%off!) & I always have to get at least two sizes larger than my child is in other stores!

My experience of Disney clothing has been exactly the same-their clothes always seem to be small

why would all childrens clothes be the same size?

it's a well known fact that women's (and mens) clothes are different in different shops, and that the overall sizing changes as society does.
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?
  • Hence the use, and need of a STANDARD

I think I read somewhere, that British Standards were written in the 1960's-and peoples sizes have changed since then, due to better nutrition..
  • The one I mentioned started in 2006. I've put on a couple of pounds since then.....

Baddiebasher,it would be somewhat helpful if you would post the 2006 british standards, and also whether they apply to clothes made outside the uk.
  • They apply to Europe. I understand that there is not a legal obligation to follow them, but if a court case came up, it would be a damned good case to argue (basically, that there is a recognised standard and it is not too much to expect then to be followed).

The Standard itself is something you have to pay for, and the T&Cs of the access I have prevent me posting them. Sorry

Baddiebasher,if there is no legal obligation to follow them, you are just talking through your !!!!!
  • What? I believe I am talking sense - manufacturers using a standard that can be trusted? I think that's common sense. What do you think weights and measures are there for? They are the very cornerstone of civilised trade.

And as for being current, well standards are generally released every decade or less frequent. There is no newer standard than the one I have mentioned, so how could I be more current?

And as for talking through my "a-r-s-e", I have the ability to determine that bit of anatomy from my mouth.

    You aparently do not.

I suggest you learn before opening either again. But I shoudl be so hopeful when I am being criticised for, well, trying to help someone else.

You may carry on having a go at me if you wish. It means as much as what comes from any of you orifices.
