That's fine, leave it as it is..

problem went away when i ran the MS spyware. Just did a full scan now as a double check..come to use google its back.
when i press the google search linek it seems to use some intermediate programm redzip , usearch, search.getfound.com to other junk websites.
Did a full AVG scan...nothing.

Could try this, or any of the other spyware/AV scanner mentioned in the site:
http://safety.live.com/site/en-US/default.htm
Could you clarify the symptoms, what comes on screen?
Is your PC, fully patched btw (windowsupdate.com)?
"Adw.RedZip.Toolbar is a desktop and IE plugin searchbar. It hijacks the default Search Site and the SearchAssistant.
Adw.RedZip.Toolbar is a desktop and IE plugin searchbar. It hijacks the default Search Site and the SearchAssistant to its own search site. It can best be removed through the Windows Control Panel, using the Add/Remove Programs option."Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
could not find the programmes you mentioned in my add/remove programmes listing.
Google looks okay just when one enters the search word, press search then click on a link...it then starts redirecting to other advert sites and other search engines - no !!!!!! sites this time!.
Pc is on bradband so would be windows updated automatically. Firewall is Zonealarm. Nothing else unusal noticed.0 -
Windows would only be updated if it was set to do so in Control Panel/Security center (if you don't have security center, then you don't have SP2, so need to do an update)
I'm not familiar with the spyware you have, but if you google for the things you mentioned, you should find removal instructions.
I use autoruns from https://www.sysinternals.com for browser helper object removal if the spyware scanners mentioned above can't find anything, if that is any help?Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -

@atpug
Is the problem occurring everytime you do a Google search or only for certain search terms that you enter. Can you post one of your search terms that gives you the problem and then the url of the first result.
