All anti virus software is rubbish (McAfee is beyond awful), but NOD32 is the least awful. The real time virus protection offered by free software is so horrible to use that I would rather have several hundred viruses on my system

Do I have your permission to infect your machine then Torres (WITHOUT anti virus software present of course)?

that'll be me, then. No antispyware on my current vista 64 install, and I visit some very dodgy sites (no, not the obvious). I could guarantee that the worst adaware etc would find on my pc would be cookies, but only the ones I allow.
Antivirus is, i feel, essential, even though it is extremely rare that my AV alarms go off, and every time it is a documented false positive, I just feel 'safer' knowing kasperski 'has my back'.
