Fast4 OVERCHARGING

Options
I am trying to terminate my contract with Fast4 as the service towards the end of 2005 was very poor. They got my notice letter before Xmas and I have heard nothing from them. On their site it says they intend to take another payment at the end of January!

I checked my bank account and found that they had charged me twice in September and December. If you are with them check your bank account.

I have e-mailed them today and await their reply.

I have now got Broadband with Metronet and it is fine.

I do not recomend Fast4.

*I* can fault them! Like alared, I was overcharged quite a lot but fortunately my bank got the money back from them. They are still sending me emails every month----since last September--'threatening' me that I won't get a service from them unless I put in funds for them.

I too had trouble terminating my contract with them. I hope you sent your termination letter by recorded delivery.

I am pleased to say that I got the following message from Fast4 on the 9th January 2006! I have checked my bank this morning and have been credited with the two months which were overpaid. I did send the termination letter by recorded delivery.

"Thank you for your recent message. On looking into your billing details i can see that you were indeed charged twice in September and December. I apologise that this error occured and thank you for bringing it to our attention. I beleive this was due to an error within our billing system. I can confirm that this has now been rectified and £13.98 was refunded back onto your card this morning.

Please note that your cancellation request was received on the 23rd of December, and it is currently being processed via our normal cancellation procedure. You will be hearing from us soon.

    Kind Regards,
    Yvonne

Just a line to say that as there were recommends for Fast 4 on here, I have now signed on with them on dial up only, £6.99 a month, I have not checked my credit card account so will do tomorrow. So far it is nice to log on during the day which I could not do with my last provider, however, it sometimes, most times, takes about four dials before I get on to the net, it is very slow, but ok once you are on. When I spoke with their sales team before signing up and mentioned that you had to write if you wanted to resign from fast4
the lady on the sales team said that a phone call would suffice now, there is a free phone number somewhere in this thread. Best wishes and thank you to all those who helped me make up my mind, will keep you posted......Best wishes oap

I was overcharged by 1 month and I send them an e mail. They apologised and skipped the DD the following month.

If you can, change your F4 payment option to direct debit and then if there is a problem with F4 (which I`m sure there won`t be)you can just cancel your DD.

Thank you very much Edinburglass for helping me out when it would not accept my new e mail address, much obliged to you. Thanks Alared, I was undecided what to do dd or cc, however, my last isp was on cc and I did clear it with Goldfish (that is who my cc people are) that they would advise if anything was glarlingly wrong which they said they did anyway! Will have a think about it. I can see your point. Best wishes, oap

Whatever you decide, you just log-in to the F4 members area and click the option to change your payment method and they do the rest.
