I have downloaded cc, trying to download spybot sd now,
I have avast virus checker already, will this affect the adaware? is adaware a virus scanner as well?

no, Avast install will not adversely affect either of the above. Avast is a good choice imo . :cool: I don't use Spybot anymore ; i prefer MBAM .

might I recomend combo fix, really good free software

also personally I some times feel its better to format and I feel the most secure way of getting the data off the infected machine is to use a live os, such as Minixp (features on hirens boot disk) slax, etc.

Hirens boot disk also contains alot of removal tools

ad-aware se. Can't remember what it was, but this software i had as well as most of my family, included is ad-watch, i do not recommend this, as it was targeted by a certain virus, that rendered all program's on our computer useless, would not run, un-fixable without a restore, ths software itself is fine, but it was this that led to the virus targeting our computers

I see you've been told to do the steps at the start of this thread, however i also see that you cannot use any programs (i think thats what you mean when you say none of the icons will work) so the steps are of no use to you, have a search for smithfraudfix, i seem to remember having the same problems as you and that program helped me out.

not really any guide i know of but there are the disc number options on the properties of the songs. if that helps.check with trixmotos auto tag script and see if that does it for you.

Please can someone help me .I run avg antivirus and recently been getting unwanted adsware /pop ups.
I would like to download a free adware blocker. Any advice welcome.

i recommend you using best antivirus solution i.e. Avast antivirus 6 free, download and install and run your pc for a complete scan.
