For some of my easter gifts I am potting up some daffodil bulbs into recycled plastic pots now so that they will be ready about then, then I will wrap the pots in tissue paper and ribbon.
Also I picked up lots of boxes of sugared almonds in sales for 10p each which i will be putting into cello cones and tying with a nice pastel ribbon and gift tag.

Also thinking of making some individual mini fruit cakes for the adults and then icing and decorating, before wrapping in cello. For kids will be doing easter bunny gingerbreads and icing/decorating then putting in cello bags.

That should sort out most of my easter gifts at very little cost:j

sophiesmum - you seem to be all sorted out. Like the idea of the daffodil bulbs............might do some of those for ex foster girl - her birthday is March and I'm doing her a gardening hamper (already got the bits and pieces for it)so bulbs would be lovely for her.

mary if you are still looking for bits to put in your gardening hamper sainsburys have some gardening things in their reduced Christmas gifts range. they are 50% at the moment but am keeping an eye on them in case they go lower!

In Homebase stores they have storage bins in the garden centre wth free plastic plant pots (as a recycling measure) you could help yourselves to these for planting bulbs in;)

bunbun - thanks but our Sainsbury's is miles away (as are most things) So far I've got her a fork and trowel,
    tomato and lettuce seeds,
    some 'gardners' soap, hand cream,
    gardening journal
    pretty gardening gloves.

I also want to get her one of those foam kneeling pads. Did think about getting some of the garden utensils you get for indoor plants -they're really handy for messing about with seeds - and giving her some of my little tiny flower pots.
Also may do pot of gold with gold covered sweets and some sunflower seeds in it. (think someone suggested that on the pot of gold thread.

she grinch - we've got a load of plastic flower pots that I can use -might even get rid of a few on freecycle. I did last year but they just seem to accumulate. Like most places Homebase is miles away and our local garden centre doesn't recycle them which is a shame
