I haven't made any Easter gifts in years but I've still got some eggs I made over 20 years ago, still intact. The egg contents were blown out then I crocheted lacy designs to cover them which I got from a magazine that I think is still around - Anna/Burda. I think they would make very good presents if anyone wants to have a go.
  • I was thinking of making an Easter hamper to raffle off. I thought about putting the the usual like choc eggs bunnies maybe speciality tea etc. Has anybody got any pictures of hampers they have made cos I'm not very imaginative. Thanks.

I am unsure as to what size these templates come out at, I wanted to do some for christmas but never got round to it. They may need to be enlarged?
I like this idea and may use it as a St Patricks day gift (in-laws anniversary) as I did the pot of gold at christmas.
    Thanks FiFi :)

Oooh, I like the idea of Easter Trees! Do you have any instructions or photos? We're in Scotland, and the only Hobbycraft is on the M8 about 40 - 50 miles away ... and it's quite expensive as well unfortunately. Most of our craft bits and bobs need to be bought on line.

We had a go last night at teaching some of them a very basic back-stitch. I was hugely impressed by how many wanted to try and learn - some even wanted to take bits home to practice on!

Thanks so much for your advice.

Hi you can now buy some stuff from Hobbycraft online might be worth checking out their site.

If they are into sewing a little how about this..

This is all done with brown thread then you dry brush paint it with paint, childrens watercolours are fine or you can lightly color with normal wax crayons. This called stitchery check it out. The pattern is traced off onto cotton fabric like calico then sewed.

    Hi all

Went to superdrug today and had a look round at all their sale bargains. In amongst them was some egg shaped (and sized) bath bombs I think 6 in a pack for 49p. WE bought some to use at Easter look so egg like would be good in little easter bags or something similar.

furrypig - they sound good. You could decorate an egg box and put them in that -would be quite novel:j

    Easter Bunny Poop

    Bunny Poop
The Easter Bunny came last night
    And left this little scoop.
Because you weren't so good this year,
    You're getting Bunny Poop.
    ~unknown~

    Bunny Poop
    The Easter bunny was smiling,
    Spring was in his hop.
He had a basket full of candy,
You were the next house on his stop.
But he saw you being naughty
and his poor ears began to droop.
So instead of eggs and candy....
He just left this bag of poop ! ! !

    Bunny Pooh
I saw the Easter bunny, hop by a little tree,
As he went hopping by, he gave a wink to me.
I ran outside quickly, to see what I could see,
And found these little gifts he left,
    right there under that tree
I thought of you, and thought I'd share his
little gift with you, Gee! I hope it's something good,
    and not just bunny pooh!
