Thanks for coming back. Not for 40. There's a small kitchen with a bit of a dodgy oven. Unfortunately, unless they're in very small groups of 4 - 6 the mess becomes overwhelming (why can they be tidy in small groups, and unbelievably untidy in large groups!!). We've iced biscuits before, and it took us literally 3 hours to clean the hall afterwards!!

Does it need to be Easter themed? Making door hangers may work in an hour if you pre-make/cut/buy some embellishments for them. Thread of what I'm on about here... http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1028521&highlight=door+hanger

Here's a link to an Easter door hanger posted by Candy... http://www.makingfriends.com/door_hangers_easter.htm

You could paint the hangers or make them from foam rather than have the mess/hassle of covering with paper like post of us did on the thread.

    Another idea...
How about painting a mug? You can buy plain white mugs in Asda for about 25p and would need to buy paints or pens to decorate the mugs. Could fill with mini eggs in a little cellophane bag or similar?

    HTH ;)

    Brilliant aren't they:T

Thank you. rainmac was so kind as to send me loads of the most lovely scrapbooking papers to make some more sour cream containers. She asked for nothing in return and she's always so willing to help and share, I thought it would be nice to do something lovely for her in return.

If anyone is interested in the shoe the pattern template is here, http://www.skiptomylou.org/2008/10/28/paper-witch-shoes/ you need to download the shoe template and the lining template. It is so easy to do, I used a piece of coloured card, a piece of scrapbooking paper(courtesy of rainmac) some little embellishments and a piece of ribbon.
This one shows a halloween shoe but again you could make them with different papers for any favours. Vellum for a wedding would be nice.

I also have templates for santa's boot, elf shoe and a baby shoe somewhere here if anyone would like to try?

I am unsure as to what size these templates come out at, I wanted to do some for christmas but never got round to it. They may need to be enlarged?

Ceebeeby did you check out the Martha Stewart web site she has tons of craft ideas. I plan to do the polysyrene eggs with the flowers on that are made from tissue paper.
I have also seen some decoupage of the eggs using napkins or how about decorating eggs using sequins.

We are making easter trees at church. Hobbycraft have some nice ideas for wood blanks to paint, rabbits and chicks etc good price.

Oooh, I like the idea of Easter Trees! Do you have any instructions or photos? We're in Scotland, and the only Hobbycraft is on the M8 about 40 - 50 miles away ... and it's quite expensive as well unfortunately. Most of our craft bits and bobs need to be bought on line.

We had a go last night at teaching some of them a very basic back-stitch. I was hugely impressed by how many wanted to try and learn - some even wanted to take bits home to practice on!

Thanks so much for your advice.

she grinch - the pot sitting chick sounds lovely but I could n't see the image -just a box with a red cross in it:confused: This seems to happen sometimes -had it with other images.
    Maybe it'll show up later
