  • Ah thanks DFSD, it is nice to know someone is reading this . I have just subscribed to your diary, so will go and have a nosey, you seem to be doing very well.
Well, my car died a few months ago and i sold it on, but forgot to tell the car tax man  £60.28 they charged me . Looks like bread and butter for the rest of the month ;).
    Ah well lesson learnt .

  • Well i havent been doin the best recently. I have put £120 on my CC . i think i paid off too much of the cc at the start of the month and now i am left with very little money to do me. Also if i am honest i was bold and bought myself a new pair of trousers and shoes .
Well i am tryin to get back on track, i feel so guilty for spending the money that it is not worth it. I have abour £50 to do me for the rest of the month - 2.5 weeks, but i am goin to try really hard and make it do me.

So today i applied for a 0% balance transfer cc for my hubbie (i know it is nothing to do with my debt but i hated the fact that he was paying a lot of interest every month and if i was waiting for him to do it i would be waiting a while ) and i am goin to try and make my £50 do me for the rest of the month. Heres hoping .

    Have a nice weekend.

  • Pay day today :j about time too :T. I have paid £419.68 off my cc today. That has left my balance at £1200 .
I spent money on the card in Sep as i really had no money. But i could have been more careful.
Well i hope to pay at least another £100 off the card before the end of Oct.

My aim is to have this all paid off by Chirstmas, hopefully i can do it.

    Have a nice day :D

  • Hey chucklebutt - just catching up on your diary.

Yay on the paying off big chunks of credit card. Boo to having to use it in September, but sometimes these things are unavoidable aren't they.

Just wondering if you have a budget in place or keep a record of what you spend on groceries, petrol etc in the month? We started doing this a little while ago and it REALLY helps us from dipping into the overdraft or using credit cards.

    Good luck honey

  • Well it has been over a month since i have logged in here.
I am just seeing your message now dfsd sorry :o.
Yeah i have tried to make note of what all i need to spend every month including petrol and stuff but i never seem to stick to it. I will try again this month (and try really hard).
You seem to be doin really well dfsd, congrats :j.

Well payday again and my cc is now down to £1000, i have paid off £365 today, but had added some to the cc at the end of Oct , oh well at least it is goin down.
It is not long now til christmas and my aim was to pay my cc off by the end of 2009, so i have a bit of hard work to do!!
I also have not bought any of my christmas pressies yet so will have to look for some bargains.
I usually get a bonus from work just before christmas (not definite, though looks likely) so hopefully this will help me pay the card off.
I have to try and be strong and not spend money on stuff i dont need....

Have a nice day all :j.
