Well it is payday today :j. I have just paid off £1081.55 off the CC. That brings the total down to £1250 :j. Well that is the good news. the bad news is my car died  i got £450 for it (well £350 havent got the other £100 yet will get that this weekend) so I have paid the £350 off the CC and got £300 from the joint and paid £431.55 out of my wages.
It looks like i should def have the cc paid off by my birthday in July, that is if nothing major goes wrong :D.
This month lots of things have went wrong, we have ran out of oil and the washing machine has died and then the car died. But with a lot of help from family we have got through it, hopefully nothing else will go wrong in the near future :p.
I will have to start thinking of what i am goin to do with my money after July when i am DF :T.
This journey has taught me a lot of lessons. I def need an emergency fund. And also need a new car. So it will be save save save. Although i am sure i will treat myself as well ;).

    Have a nice day

Well I have just received the other £100 for my car so that has been paid off the credit card. The balance now stands at £1173.79. By the 1st June i hope to have it down to £400, and will pay the £400 off in June. Well thats my plan anyway :rotfl:.

So nearly there now. Although i think June is goin to be a long month :p.

  • :hello:
Well it has been a while!!! If im honest i have been avoiding this!
Since i last posted a lot has happened. I had a miscarriage in June. That really affected me and my MSE work went straight out the window!! my credit card has creeped up to £1200  £600 of that was put towards a car, but still i should have the cc cleared by now.

Anyway onwards and upwards. I intend to pay it off by the end of this year at the very latest. My real aim is to have it paid off by the start of November.
I am goin on my hols next week for 1 week but i should have enough money to do me when i am there. I will make my first payment to the cc at the end of this month. I aim to pay off £400 + interest.
    Have a nice day

  • Screw it!!! Just checked my CC online and it is now £1833.50 . I have been so bad. I really feel sick thinking about it!!

Anyway, i have to try to get it sorted out very quickly!! I do not get paid until Friday, but will pay off £33.50 now and get it down to a round figure. My sis owes me £110 for it, so i will get it off her this week.
Im sooo cross with myself

  • Pay day today :j. I have paid £400 off the credit card. However i had added £150 to it (someone owes me that and i will pay it off next week when i get the money back). So my balance is now £1550.
Ah well, i am still disgusted with myself for having put soo much money on it again, but i just have to forget about it and concentrate on getting rid of it.
My aim is to have it all paid off by Christmas. I think i can do it, but it will be another few tight months. Getting used to having no money :D.
    Have a nice weekend.

  • I was thinking, I would like my balance down to £1200 by the end of Sept. I am owed £260 altogether, so need to find £90 + interest. I think i might be able to do it. I had to write it down here, cos if you write it, you have to do it, rite??

  • Well, i got the £260 i was owed, so have just paid that off the cc. My balance is now £1290. I want to have it down to £1200 by the end of this month, really not sure how i am goin to do this, cos i do not have much money left to live, but hey i like a challenge :-).
    Have a good day.

  • Hi Chuckle-butt

Just read through your diary and you're doing really well at tackling that card - well done.

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage, don't be hard on yourself for the debt creeping up during that time, it must have been extremely upsetting for you. You're tackling it now and that's the main thing.

I'm in a similar situation to you - I'm now 30, married 18 months ago and wanting children soon but can't afford it! Unfortunately I have a lot more debt than you (some also caused by paying for the wedding!) but we're working on it - slowly. It's very frustrating though. We've nearly paid off our credit cards and then have to tackle overpaying a loan.

Keep going with the debt-busting, will be popping in to see how you're doing!
